Maker saw the crunch-time minutes down the stretch while starting center John Henson watched from the bench. However, Maker didn't do much in terms of contributing to the box score. This was actually the second straight scoreless performance for Maker, and the third in the last four games. Outside of deeper (or dynasty) leagues, he simply isn't a reliable option for fantasy.

The young center parlayed a season-high amount of minutes into a career-best scoring total, and his night could have potentially been even bigger had he not fouled out late in the contest. Maker has been seeing at least 20 minutes with regularity for the majority of November, but he'd yet to hit double digits in the scoring column this season until Wednesday's performance. While he doesn't typically offer much offensively, he's been a solid source of rebounds and blocks for those owning him in deeper formats.

Maker will start at center Wednesday against Phoenix.

With John Henson and Giannis Antetokounmpo both out of action, coach Jason Kidd will pivot to a much smaller lineup, rolling out Gary Payton, Eric Bledsoe, Malcolm Brogdon and Khris Middleton with Maker at center. Maker is coming off of a pedestrian performance Monday against the Wizards -- two points, two rebounds, one assist, one steal in 20 minutes -- but he should see a fairly significant increase in minutes Wednesday.

After a brutal matchup against Thunder center Steven Adams, coach Jason Kidd has opted to put a bigger body on the front line against Dwight Howard on Wednesday. Maker's workload probably won't change much as a result of the lineup switch, however, as he's averaging just 16.9 minutes per game (4.6 points and 2.7 rebounds).
