Maker was a healthy scratch during each of the last two games. To make matters worse, this contest wasn't even a close one, which leaves Maker's role in serious doubt moving forward. Through four appearances in March, he is averaging just over seven minutes per night after earning no less than 16.9 per during any prior month this season. For now it appears that Tyler Zeller, who posted eight points, six boards, and two blocks in 20 minutes, has leapfrogged Maker to become the Bucks' backup center behind John Henson.

Maker, due to John Henson's (hamstring) return, will move back to the bench for Friday's contest against the Raptors.

EDGE Analysis

Over the past three games with Henson out, Maker had averaged 9.7 points and 3.0 rebounds across 22.7 minutes per game. With Henson's return, he'll likely regress back to his usual workload, which is at 18.1 minutes per game on the season.

This was Maker's third consecutive start due to John Henson (hamstring) being inactive and responded with a scant performance across 17 minutes. Aside from a few games now and then, the Sudan product has consistently produced outings in which he scores in single digits. Back-up center Tyler Zeller saw 30 minutes of action Thursday and has been cutting into Maker's minutes considerably since his acquisition on Feb. 5.

Maker finished with 12 points (5-7 FG, 1-2 3Pt, 1-2 FT), three rebounds, and one assist in 25 minutes during Tuesday's 97-92 win over the Hawks.

Maker drew his second consecutive start with John Henson (hamstring) sidelined, and the sophomore center was extremely efficient in both. If Henson remains out for Thursday's matchup versus the Nuggets, Maker will likely be the Buck who benefits most. Moreover, with the All-Star break on the horizon, it's very possible the team will err on the side of caution with Henson.

The Bucks are once again going to be without John Henson (hamstring) on Tuesday, which will allow Maker to pick up a second consecutive start in his place. In relief on Saturday against the Magic, Maker posted 13 points, three rebounds, one assist and one block across 26 minutes. That will likely be similar to the workload he sees against the Hawks, with Tyler Zeller providing center relief off the bench.

Maker generated eight points (4-5 FG), three rebounds and one block across 14 minutes in Friday's 91-85 loss to the Heat.

EDGE Analysis

The big man outproduced starter John Henson on the night, turning in yet another efficient performance. Maker hasn't seen more than 22 minutes in any of the first five games of February, but he's scored between seven and eight points in the last four contests while shooting at least 50.0 percent in each of them. The 2016 first-round pick has limited offensive potential, but he serves as a viable end-of-roster option for those needing some scoring and rebounding help in very deep formats.

Maker drew the start with John Henson sitting out due to a sore hamstring. The sophomore held his own, helping the Bucks secure another much-needed victory. However, his statistical contributions were modest, as per usual. At this point, Maker is still best reserved for use in deeper (or dynasty) leagues.

Maker will start at center for Tuesday's game against the Knicks, Matt Velazquez of the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel reports.

EDGE Analysis

The Bucks are set to be without John Henson (hamstring) on Tuesday, so Maker will pick up the start in his place and should get extended run in the frontcourt. Recent addition Tyler Zeller has yet to be cleared, but could also provide some relief in the frontcourt if given the go ahead prior to tip-off. Either way, Maker should see a temporary uptick in fantasy value while working with the top unit and he'll have the chance to push for minutes in the mid-to-upper 20s.

Maker is considered probable for Monday's game against the 76ers, Matt Velazquez of the Journal Sentinel reports.

EDGE Analysis

Maker suffered a bruise to his chest during the second half of Sunday's win over Chicago, and while it doesn't look to be anything remotely serious, the Bucks will nonetheless keep an eye on the second-year big man. Until the team says otherwise, expect Maker to be available in his usual role of 15-to-20 minutes off the bench.

Maker reached double digits in scoring in consecutive contests for the first time this season. Moreover, Maker has made more treys in these last two tilts (five-of-six) than he did over the previous 25 games (four-of-21). The sophomore will have every shot to earn a decent share of minutes behind starting center John Henson, but Maker, who made 10-of-27 from beyond the arc through the first 10 games of 2017-18, will likely remain inconsistent.
