Smart suffered a sprained right index finger in the second half of Saturday's Game 1 matchup with the Hawks but has been cleared to return to the game.
EDGE Analysis
Smart will be available to return in the second-half of the game but could see his minutes restricted as a result of the injury. The Celtics will keep an eye on Smart's shooting form, as the sprain is located on his shooting hand. Evan Turner could see increased as action as a result.

Smart, who has struggled with his shot all season, is finally heating up as the Celtics fight for playoff seeding, CSNNE's A. Sherrod Blakely reports.
EDGE Analysis
Over the past three games, Smart is shooting 41.7 percent from three and 52.2 percent overall. His four made threes versus Atlanta Saturday hopefully will boost Smart's confidence heading into the playoffs. Smart is shooting 36.8 percent from three in April, relative to the lowly 25.5 percent he's been shooting from three all season.

Smart tallied 19 points (7-12 FG, 4-6 3Pt, 1-2 FT), five rebounds, three assists, and one steal over 33 minutes in Saturday's loss to the Hawks.
EDGE Analysis
Smart was locked in from deep, getting a handful of quality looks and making the most of them. The second-year guard has struggled with the three-ball this year, shooting just 24.5% from distance this season ,but certainly looked confident with his jumper against the Hawks. If Smart can continue to get open looks, perhaps his three-point shooting will improve as he continues to develop his NBA game.

Smart suffered a cut above his right eye late during Wednesday's win versus New Orleans, CSNNE's A. Sherrod Blakely reports.
EDGE Analysis
The injury forced Smart to miss a key late jumper, as blood was dripping into his eye and blurring his vision. Nevertheless, Boston earned the victory versus the injury ravaged Pelicans and maintained their fourth spot in the East. Smart expects to play in Friday's tilt at home versus the Bucks, despite the cut requiring stitches.

Smart's poor shooting woes (1-11 FG, 0-5 3Pt) continued in Monday's home win versus the Magic.
EDGE Analysis
Smart is shooting an unsettling 35 percent from the field this season, and 26 percent from behind the arc. Unfortunately, he's also trending downward -- Smart is shooting a lowly 30 percent through the first 10 games of March. Jae Crowder's injury gave Smart an opportunity to shine in more small ball lineups, but that hasn't worked out for the second year guard. The emotional Smart was visibly frustrated in Monday's game, yet kept hoisting treys. Smart still earns 27 minutes per game due to his lockdown defense, but his poor shooting can be tough to stomach.

Smart had 15 points (6-12 FG, 2-6 3Pt, 1-2 FT), five rebounds, five assists, and two steals in 29 minutes during the Celtics' 120-105 win against the 76ers on Sunday.
EDGE Analysis
Smart started two games in a row when Jae Crowder (ankle) got injured, but Evan Turner stepped in during the two most recent outings while Smart shifted to the bench. It's unclear what Crowder's exact timetable is, but Turner seems somewhat likely to continue starting until Crowder returns to action. The Magic run a starting five featuring three guards in Elfrid Payton, Victor Oladipo, and Evan Fournier, so it's conceivable that Celtics' coach Brad Stevens could switch things up on Monday. Regardless, both Smart and Turner will enjoy a boost in fantasy value while Crowder remains sidelined.

Smart got his second straight start Wednesday night, filling in for an injured Jae Crowder, but again disappointed, scoring only 2 points from very poor shooting (1-10 FG, 0-4 3Pt).
EDGE Analysis
Coach Brad Stevens surprisingly has now twice gone with Smart instead of Evan Turner to fill in for Crowder (ankle) in the starting rotation. Smart plays suffocating defense, but his shooting is still a work in progress. He's shooting only 30% over his last 10 games and 35% for the season. With Jonas Jerebko also banged up, Smart will continue to see big minutes. Whether he'll again start Friday in Toronto has yet to be determined.

Smart will start on Tuesday night.
EDGE Analysis
Smart draws the start in place of the injured Jae Crowder (ankle). Head coach Brad Stevens said Smart "blends well with Isaiah and Avery." The 22-year-old may continue to fill those role for the immediate future, as Crowder is likely to miss a couple of weeks due to his ankle injury.

Smart may see increased playing time due to Jae Crowder's two week absence, ESPN's Chris Forsberg reports.
EDGE Analysis
Smart is already averaging 27 minutes per game, so the increase in minutes will probably be modest. The biggest change for Smart is he'll probably be tasked more with defending opposing small forwards. It's a role he's familiar with, as coach Stevens often has Smart guard bigger opponents when Boston goes with smaller lineups.

Smart had 15 points (5-12 FG, 1-6 3Pt, 4-5 FT), 11 rebounds, three assists and two steals in 31 minutes on Wednesday in a win over the Trail Blazers.
EDGE Analysis
Smart took advantage of extra minutes in the Celtics' blowout win on Wednesday over the Trail Blazers. His 11 rebounds matched a season-high and he's now averaged 7.3 over the last three games. Smart is still getting consistent minutes off the bench as he averaged 26.8 in the month of February and nothing short of an injury should decimate that in any way. Smart has averaged 9.9 points, 4 rebounds, 3.1 assists and 1.8 steals this season, but remains more of a fill-in on fantasy rosters. In DFS, it would be best to roll him out in games when the Celtics are large favorites.
