Smart scored 23 points (7-14 FG, 4-8 3Pt, 5-5 FT) to go along with four rebounds, five assists and two steals in 35 minutes Monday against the Wizards. Smart saw extended run in this double overtime game and had the best game of his young career. He still has a ways to go though before he can be considered a reliable fantasy option.

Smart has been assigned to Maine of the D-League. The rookie will make his first D-League appearance of the season Thursday, joining teammates James Young and Dwight Powell, who were also assigned Thursday. Smart missed a chunk of games recently with a severe ankle sprain but returned Wednesday against the Pistons, missing all three of his field goal attempts in five minutes of action. Thursday's game will provide him an opportunity to play a large complement of minutes as he works his way back into game shape.

Smart (ankle) will play Wednesday, the Boston Herald's Mark Murphy reports. This will be his first game after sitting out the last 10 tilts with a sprained left ankle. He said he suffered the injury the first time because he forgot to tape his ankles, and vows that will never happen again. Look for him to see between 20 and 28 minutes in the near future.

Smart (ankle) will not travel with the team Tuesday against the Hawks. Smart had a CT scan done Monday and the results were negative, but he will continue to undergo treatment and conditioning over the next couple days while the team is on the road. He hasn't been ruled out for Thursday's game against the Pistons, however, which will be his next opportunity to return to the court.

Smart (ankle) participated in all of Saturday's practice, Marc D'Amico of Celtics.com reports. Smart was considered questionable heading into Friday's game against the Bulls but was held out as he continues to recover from a sprained ankle. While his participation in Saturday's session is encouraging, coach Brad Stevens emphasized that the team did not due much scrimmaging, so it wasn't necessarily an indication of Smart's condition. Regardless, Smart should be considered questionable to play Sunday against the Spurs.

Smart (ankle) has been ruled out for Friday's game against the Bulls. Smart had been labeled as questionable to suit up Friday, but the Celtics decided to back off the idea of returning him to the lineup after he saw only minimal involvement in Wednesday's practice. He'll likely try to increase his activity over the next couple days in an effort to better test out his ankle, and if he shows a decent amount of progression, he could be a lineup option for Sunday's tilt with the Spurs.

Smart (ankle) spent most of Wednesday's practice on the sideline, but hasn't been ruled out for Friday's contest, the Boston Herald reports. Smart was expected to participate in practice heading in to Wednesday, but was reportedly not comfortable enough to do so. He hasn't been ruled out for Friday, however, so the morning shootaround could give a good indication of the status heading into the matchup against Bulls.

Smart (ankle) is expected to practice Wednesday, and is questionable for Friday's game against the Bulls. Coach Brad Stevens said Smart would not have a minutes restriction if he is cleared to play Friday, so owners should feel comfortable deploying him as usual if he is a go.
