Whiteside (knee) will not join the Heat on their upcoming three-game road trip, which starts Wednesday against the Spurs and ends Monday against the Grizzlies, Barry Jackson of the Miami Herald reports.
EDGE Analysis
Whiteside continues to be sidelined with a bone bruise in his left knee, which he was diagnosed with in late November. He's missed three games already, in which Bam Adebayo and Kelly Olynyk have been filling in at center. Adebayo has averaged 6.3 points, 4.0 rebounds and 2.3 steals in those three games. Olynyk has averaged 14.0 points, 5.3 rebounds and 4.3 assists over that stretch. Both players should continue to see expanded roles while Whiteside remains out.

Whiteside has been diagnosed with a bone bruise in his left knee and will rehab for the next one-to-two weeks.
EDGE Analysis
Whiteside has been nursing a knee issue for most of the year, which he himself declared "serious" Wednesday. His diagnosis will place him in a strength and conditioning rehab program that will sideline him at least one week, possibly two. While it's an unfortunate turn for the Heat and Whiteside, the injury doesn't currently appear to put him at risk for missing a significant chunk of the season. In his stead, Kelly Olynyk and Bam Adebayo will likely occupy the majority of minutes at center and could make for short-term fantasy pickups as well as DFS options.

Whiteside (knee) has been ruled out for Friday's game against the Hornets, Anthony Chiang of the Palm Beach Post reports.
EDGE Analysis
Whiteside has been dealing with some discomfort in his left knee since the start of the season and recently had to sit out Wednesday's game against the Knicks. Prior to that contest, Whiteside indicated that he felt the knee injury was a "serious issue" and that it was giving him significant discomfort. The Heat ruling him out a day in advance seems to echo that statement and it wouldn't surprising if Whiteside ended up missing at least a few more games while figuring out some sort of treatment plan. Until that plan is put in place, Whiteside will continue to be evaluated on a game-to-game basis. Look for Bam Adebayo to pick up a second straight start after posting nine points, five rebounds and two steals across 31 minutes.

Whiteside (knee) will not play Wednesday against the Knicks and said the soreness in his left knee is a "serious issue," per Ira Winderman of the South Florida Sun Sentinel reports.
EDGE Analysis
Whiteside's comments run contrary to coach Erik Spoelstra stating earlier Wednesday that the big man may undergo an MRI, though the issue hasn't gotten any worse. While the Heat don't appear to be overly concerned, Whiteside, himself, said that it's on the team's medical staff to "get to the bottom of his ongoing pain," so expect him to undergo some tests in the coming days. The Heat are off Friday before facing Charlotte on Friday and Golden State on Sunday, games for which Whiteside should be considered firmly questionable.

Whiteside is dealing with left knee soreness and has been ruled out for Wednesday's game against the Knicks, Tom D'Angelo of the Palm Beach Post reports.
EDGE Analysis
This is the same knee that Whiteside missed five games with because of a bone bruise earlier this season, so there's definitely a chance he's still dealing with some lingering discomfort. In an effort to get Whiteside as close to full strength as possible, they'll keep him out Wednesday, which means his next opportunity to take the court will be Friday against the Hornets. Bam Adebayo is the favorite to step into starting duties at center after scoring a season-high 19 points on Tuesday, though Kelly Olynyk should pick up some additional playing time as well.

Whiteside scored 11 points (5-11 FG, 1-2 FT) to go along with 10 rebounds and one steal in 21 minutes during Sunday's 100-93 win over Chicago.
EDGE Analysis
Collecting his ninth double-double of the season, Whiteside collected double-digits in rebounds for the tenth time in 14 games. Averaging 12.7 boards, the center is a reliable source of rebounding numbers. In addition, he has supplemented his high rebounding average with 15.2 points per game on the season. Combining both of these solid scoring and rebounding numbers, Whiteside is off to an all-around impressive start to the season as a low-post presence in Miami.

Whiteside (knee) confirmed that he will play Sunday against the Bulls, Ira Winderman of the South Florida Sun Sentinel reports.
EDGE Analysis
As expected, the knee issue won't cost Whiteside any time, as he's been fully cleared to play after testing it out during pregame warmups. Whiteside is coming off of a 16-point, 10-rebound double-double in 24 minutes Friday in Minnesota.

Whiteside (knee) will warm up with the intent to play Wednesday against the Bulls, Bulls radio voice Chuck Swirsky reports.
EDGE Analysis
Whiteside is dealing with a minor knee issue, but he hasn't missed any time, although he did play only 24 minutes in Friday's win over Minnesota. It's likely Whiteside won't be at 100 percent, but at this point it looks as though the Heat are expecting to have him available in his usual, starting role. Whiteside is averaging 14.7 points and 12.2 rebounds per game in the month of November.

Whiteside is listed as questionable for Sunday's game against the Bulls after missing Saturday's practice with left knee soreness.
EDGE Analysis
Whiteside's knee soreness presumably stems from Friday's victory over the Timberwolves. He finished the game with 16 points (6-8 FG), 10 rebounds, one assist, one steal, and one block across just 24 minutes. Both Bam Adebayo and Jordan Mickey drew starts in games Whiteside missed earlier in the season, so one of them figure to draw another should he ultimately sit out Sunday. Kelly Olynyk would also figure to see a boost in minutes.

Whiteside finished with 16 points (6-8 FG, 4-4 FT), 10 rebounds, one assist, one steal and one block in 24 minutes during Friday's 109-97 victory over Minnesota.
EDGE Analysis
Whiteside collected his first double-double in his last four games, as he helped his team to a comfortable victory. Given the nature of the scoreline, he was able to play limited minutes. Had he seen more action, he could have finished with a more impressive line. He was able to contain Kary-Anthony Towns, playing a big role in securing the victory. One of the biggest positive to come from this season, is his improvement from the free-throw line. He is currently shooting 73 percent from the charity stripe, well up from his 63 percent last season.
