Whiteside will not return to Friday's game against the 76ers due to an illness.
EDGE Analysis
Whiteside provided four points (2-6 FG), nine boards, and three blocks across 18 minutes before exiting the contest. The Heat will play the second game of a back-to-back set against the Pistons on Saturday, so the big man's status for the contest is certainly up in the air. It will likely depend on how he is feeling closer to tip-off. Expect an update on his status once the team provides more information.

Whiteside went for 25 points (10-15 FG, 5-6 FT), 14 rebounds, two assists, and one block in 26 minutes during Monday's 95-88 win over the Mavericks.
EDGE Analysis
Whiteside did his damage in fairly limited minutes en route to his 18th double-double of 2017-18. This is pretty normal for Whiteside though, as he has only seen 30-plus minutes nine times through 32 appearances thus far this season.

Whiteside, who posted 10 points (5-10 FG), 14 rebounds and three assists across 24 minutes in Saturday's 106-105 win over the Hornets, has now compiled in seven of the last eight games.
EDGE Analysis
The six-year pro has been dominant since returning to a regular workload following an extended absence due to a knee injury. Whiteside has generated typically stellar production on the glass, but he's also posted 20-point efforts in two of the last three contests. With the Heat down a key source of offense in Dion Waiters (ankle) for the remainder of the season, the six-year veteran should continue enjoying an expanded scoring role moving forward, upping his already significant fantasy stock.

Whiteside totaled 22 points (9-17 FG, 4-5 FT), 13 rebounds, four blocks and two assists across 33 minutes during Friday's 101-95 loss to the Nets.
EDGE Analysis
Whiteside was a bit inefficient by his standards at the offensive end, but he led the team in scoring, shot attempts and makes. He also pulled down 13 boards for the second straight game and has now blocked at least four shots in five of his last seven games. Now fully healthy, Whiteside looks set to post big numbers in rebounds and blocks on a nightly basis to go along with the occasional big night on the offensive end.

Whiteside scored 27 points (10-12 FG, 7-9 FT) to go with 13 rebounds and six blocks in 32 minutes during Wednesday's 106-101 win against Milwaukee.
EDGE Analysis
Through 26 games, Whiteside is putting up solid numbers, averaging 14.3 points and 11.6 rebounds. On Wednesday, the center set season-highs with 27 points and six blocks in addition to collecting 13 rebounds en route to clinching his 14th double-double of the season. In addition, he has collected five double-doubles in his last six games, averaging 15.6 points and 11.8 rebounds over this span. As a result, Whiteside is proving to be a valuable scorer as well as a force on the boards.

Whiteside finished Monday's 119-111 loss to the Bulls with nine points (3-7 FG, 3-3 FT), eight rebounds, two blocks and one assist across 20 minutes.
EDGE Analysis
Though he's suited up for the Heat's last 10 games following a month-long absence due to a knee injury, Whiteside has exceeded 30 minutes just once, with head coach Erik Spoelstra regularly relying on Kelly Olynyk and rookie Bam Adebayo to play center down the stretch in contests. Whiteside, who didn't return to Monday's game after checking out with 5:52 remaining in the third quarter, was a game-worst minus-20 while he was on the floor, making it difficult to quibble with Spoelstra's decision after the team was able to trim a 19-point deficit to as little as five while the star center was on the pine. With Olynyk and Adebayo both faring well in their extended opportunities of late, Whiteside may continue to remain a spectator late in games, limiting the latter's nightly upside in DFS contests.

Whiteside scored 16 points (6-16 FG, 1-1 FT) to go with 15 rebounds, one assist and two blocks in 30 minutes during Tuesday's 90-89 win against Toronto.
EDGE Analysis
Since returning to the lineup seven games ago, Whiteside is averaging 12.1 points and 9.2 rebounds. Of those seven games, the center has collected a double-double in three of them, including Tuesday's 15 rebound performance. On the plus side, Whiteside cracked the 30 minute mark for the first time since November 17. As his minutes have increased from 17 to 30 minutes over his last four games, Whiteside is averaging 13.0 points and 9.0 rebounds over this span. Whiteside is only getting stronger in production in his return from a knee injury.

Whiteside scored 14 points (5-11 FG, 4-4 FT) while adding 10 rebounds, four blocks and an assist in 26 minutes during Sunday's 103-102 win over the Jazz.
EDGE Analysis
It's his 10th double-double of the season, but Whiteside's first in six games since returning to action from a knee injury. The four blocks also equaled is total from the previous five games. With his workload starting to creep closer to the 30-minute mark and the injury apparently behind him, expect the rangy center to start becoming a nightly double-double threat and shot-rejecting machine once again.

Whiteside tallied 9 points (4-11 FG, 1-2 FT), 13 rebounds, and four assists in 29 minutes during Saturday's 117-111 victory over Miami.
EDGE Analysis
Whiteside looked good in a 117-11 victory, playing 29 minutes and hauling in 13 rebounds. Although his output is still not where owners would like it to be, the fact he played 29 minutes in the second game of a back-to-back set is a great sign. His minutes have increased in each of his three games since returning, and he will now get a few nights off before facing Andre Drummond and the Pistons on Wednesday. He could be looking at close to 30 minutes in that game barring any setbacks.

Whiteside finished with 17 points 6-11 FG, 5-7 FT), eight rebounds, two steals and one block in 20 minutes during Friday's 111-87 loss to the Nets.
EDGE Analysis
In his second game since returning from a knee injury, Whiteside was able to see 20 minutes of action while contributing more across the board. He is going to be eased back into the rotation and it could take a few games for him to get back to where he was prior to the injury. There is a chance he could have played some additional minutes if the game had not been a blowout and it will be interesting to see if he plays in the second game of the back-to-back set in Orlando on Saturday.
