Whiteside has just kept chugging along with double-doubles since he overcame his injury in late December, and though it took him some time to get to 100 percent, he's put together a whopping 13 double-doubles since January 3rd. He's quite conspicuously under-owned in DFS formats, but there's no question that he has significant value as a mid-tier center.

Whiteside's foul trouble limited his overall minutes total, but he still churned out his third straight double-double. The 28-year-old rim protector has been heavily involved on the offensive end during that stretch, putting up between 14 and 16 shot attempts in each of those games. As long as he retains that level of involvement, he remains easily capable of a double-double -- as well as multiple blocks -- on any given night.

He turned out two poor performance prior to missing Saturday's game due to an illness, but averages of 17.5 points and 15.5 rebounds per game in two subsequent contests indicate that he's back up to speed.

While Whiteside was held out of shootaround, coach Erik Spoelstra indicated that the team is simply getting him some extra rest as he works through an illness. "The plan is for him to get a little more rest and come back tonight," Spoelstra told the media at shootaround. Assuming that is, indeed, the case, expect Whiteside to be back in the starting lineup, displacing either Kelly Olynyk or Bam Adebayo, who both drew starts Saturday in Detroit.
