Whiteside (knee) was downgraded to out for Monday's game against the Timberwolves, Tom D'Angelo of The Palm Beach Post reports.
EDGE Analysis
Heat head coach Erik Spoelsta suggested after Sunday's practice that Whiteside was unlikely to play Monday, so it's not overly surprising that the center will be sidelined for a fifth consecutive game with a bone bruise in his left knee. On a more positive note, Whiteside, who returned to the court in a limited capacity for practice Friday, was able to get in a workout at morning shootaround, with Spoelstra indicating he was pleased by the progress the big man is making. Whiteside is expected to put in another workout Wednesday morning before the Heat decide on his status later that day for the team's game against the Bulls. Rookie Bam Adebayo should be in store for a 20-plus minute role in the frontcourt for the duration of Whiteside's absence.

Whiteside (knee) is unlikely to play in Monday's matchup with the Timberwolves, Ira Winderman of the Sun Sentinel reports.
EDGE Analysis
Whiteside suffered a bruise on his knee in the first game of the season and will likely miss his fifth straight game Monday. He has been able to participate in some drills, but has yet to go through a full-contact practice. With Whiteside's likely absence, Bam Adebayo, Jordan Mickey, and Kelly Olynyk should continue to see increased action.

Whiteside (knee) has been officially ruled out for Saturday's game against the Celtics, Manny Navarro of the Miami Herald reports.
EDGE Analysis
Whiteside continues to work back from a bone bruise on his left knee, but he's yet to be cleared to return to practice. The big man was able to go through some drills off to the side Friday, but he'll miss a fourth straight game Friday, meaning some combination of Bam Adebayo, Jordan Mickey and Kelly Olynyk will continue to see increased minutes in his stead. Whiteside's next chance to play will come Monday against Minnesota.

Whiteside (knee) will not play in Wednesday's game against the Spurs, Anthony Chiang of the Palm Beach Post reports.
EDGE Analysis
Whiteside continues to nurse a bone bruise on his left knee, and while he increased his activity level over the weekend, he'll miss a third straight game Wednesday. The Heat have started Jordan Mickey in his place each of the last two games, opting to keep Kelly Olynyk in a bench role. However, has been the primary beneficiary in Whiteside's absence, playing 27 and 29 minutes, respectively, while Mickey's workload has been capped in the mid-teens.

Heat head coach Erik Spoelstra said Whiteside (knee) won't play Monday against the Hawks, Tom D'Angelo of The Palm Beach Post reports.
EDGE Analysis
Whiteside is still recovering from a bone bruise in his left knee, which will result in him sitting out a second consecutive contest. Per D'Angelo, Spoelstra indicated that Whiteside is "feeling better" and "doing more" in terms of activity, but with the Heat still classifying the center as day-to-day, there's a chance that he also sits out the team's remaining two contests this week (Wednesday against the Spurs and Saturday against the Celtics). Spoelstra said that he plans on handing Jordan Mickey another start in Whiteside's stead after Mickey produced eight points (4-5 FG, 0-1 FT) and six rebounds across 14 minutes during Saturday's 112-108 win over the Pacers.

Whiteside won't play during Saturday's game against the Pacers due to a knee bruise, Ira Winderman of the South Florida Sun Sentinel reports.
EDGE Analysis
Whiteside bumped knees with Magic center Nikola Vucevic during the team's opener. He did not practice Friday. As a result of his absence, Kelly Olynyk seems like the candidate most probable to start the game at center, with James Johnson possibly joining the starting five at the power forward spot.

Whiteside racked up 26 points (11-18 FG, 1-1 3Pt, 3-3 FT), 22 rebounds, one assist and one block across 36 minutes during Wednesday's 116-109 loss to the Magic.
EDGE Analysis
Whiteside compiled five 20-point, 20-rebound efforts last season -- an elite mark. There's little doubt he'll continue to be a premier fantasy option at center after posting 17.0 points, 14.1 boards and 2.1 blocks during 2016-17. The team's next matchup will be Saturday against the Pacers, where Whiteside will face off against Myles Turner, one of the up-and-coming centers in the association.

Whiteside is not in the starting lineup for Wednesday's preseason matchup against the Wizards.
EDGE Analysis
The Heat are starting Wayne Ellington, Okaro White and Kelly Olynyk in the frontcourt, so it appears Whiteside could be getting the night off for rest, though nothing official has been reported. He may want to be avoided in DFS contests Wednesday due to the uncertainty surrounding his availability, but he should be back in the starting lineup come Friday's preseason finale against the 76ers.

Whiteside collected 19 points (8-12 FG, 3-4 FT), nine rebounds and two blocks across 18 minutes during Thursday's 107-88 loss to the Nets.
EDGE Analysis
Going up against weak center matchups in Timofey Mozgov, Jarrett Allen and Tyler Zeller, Whiteside had no problems needing just 18 minutes to nearly reach last year's season averages. He was one of the best center options in fantasy last season, which shouldn't change in 2017-18.

Whiteside tallied 24 points (10-17 FG, 4-6 FT), 18 rebounds and two blocks across 31 minutes in Wednesday's 110-102 victory over the Wizards.
EDGE Analysis
With the Heat right on the cusp of a playoff berth, Whiteside brought his A-game to the floor tonight, but unfortunately, the cards did not fall in the team's favor, as the Bulls won and hold the tiebreaker over the Heat. Whiteside finishes the season averaging a double-double with 17 points and 14 rebounds per game, very respectable numbers from a developing big man who looks to be the focal point of the Heat organization in upcoming years.
