Darren Collison will not play on Monday due to a sore groin. The Pacers are coming off a four game in five night stretch and are hosting the lowly Raptors (without Andrea Bargnani) Monday. It's a perfect spot to get Collison, who hadn't missed a game all year, some rest. Consider him questionable for Wednesday's game in Cleveland. Starting-caliber backup George Hill is getting the nod Monday and well worth a spot-start in fantasy.

Darren Collison scored 11 points on 3-of-7 shooting (including a three) with one rebound and three assists in 23 minutes on Friday. Collison was in a tiny bit of foul trouble but it was nothing too serious. George Hill played 28 minutes on his way to eight points with four assists, and we're guessing Frank Vogel liked Hill on Russell Westbrook just a little bit more tonight. Regardless, we're not projecting any real progress in the position battle on Hill's behalf, and Collison is still worth starting consideration -- especially with two four-game weeks.

Darren Collison hit 7-of-8 shots on his way to 17 points and 11 assists as the Pacers beat the Wizards for their third straight win. The Pacers shot a season-high 58 percent from the field and have won eight of their last 11 games to move into third place in the East. And while Collison's season hasn't been a model of consistency, he was fantastic tonight, racking up his third double-double of the season, and first since late-January. George Hill is not taking Collison's job this season, no matter how badly some folks want to see it happen.

Darren Collison scored five points on 1-of-6 shooting (including a three) with five rebounds, seven assists, two steals, and one block in the Pacers' 93-89 win over the Wizards on Thursday. Collison is struggling, but he's still gaining daily separation on George Hill in the position battle. Beat writer Mike Wells took his long-standing support from Hill's corner in his position battle prediction, so if you're looking for a very low-end PG -- Collison is the guy. Paul George added seven points, three rebounds, three assists, and four steals, and Danny Granger scored 25 points with seven rebounds and three triples in the win.

Pacers beat writer Mike Wells believes that Darren Collison will "likely remain the starter for the rest of the season." This is significant because Wells had been on record previously that George Hill could overtake him. Although Frank Vogel prefers to close games with the player who has the "hot hand," it's clear that Collison should remain the starter the rest of the way. Collison is averaging 10.8 points and 4.8 assists in 32 minutes per game.

Darren Collison got hot on Monday, going for 20 points, three assists and four steals in a win over the Heat. Collison's red-hot play meant he got 35 minutes and backup George Hill saw just 15. It's the third time in the last four games that Collison has played at least 31 minutes. Expect inconsistency, but the starter is gaining separation in this position battle.

Darren Collison scored nine points on 4-of-7 shooting with three rebounds, seven assists, and one steal in 32 minutes on Friday. Collison has gained a little bit of separation over George Hill (eight points, two threes, two assists) over the past two games. And since Collison is the only player between the two to consistently produce for any stretch during the pair's careers, he has both the short-term and long-term advantage in terms of history right now. Neither are must-own players in 12-team formats, but as the starter Collison has some appeal if he can keep separating.

Darren Collison took the lead in the point guard position battle on Thursday, scoring six points on 2-of-7 shooting (including a three) with four rebounds, five assists, and a steal in 33 minutes. That this constitutes 'taking the lead' lets you know how sorry George Hill was, as Hill missed all five of his field goal attempts and had just one rebound and two blocks to his credit over 18 minutes. Neither are must-own characters in 12-team formats, but Collison takes the lead again in the position battle.

Darren Collison hit just 1-of-4 shots for four points and two assists in 25 minutes of Tuesday's win over the Clippers. George Hill not only played 28 minutes, but hit 6-of-7 shots, all three of his 3-point attempts, and finished with 15 points, four rebounds, six assists while running the point guard position down the stretch for the Pacers. Hill hasn't taken Collison's job yet, but is a better fantasy player to own right now.
