The Pacers got beat soundly at home by the Knicks on Sunday, but Darren Collison showed signs of life with 15 points, six rebounds and three assists in 39 minutes. Collison had 15-4-4 on Friday, and maybe he just needed his job to be threatened in order to elevate his game. It's possible that George Hill (four points on 1-of-7 FGs, in 28 minutes) will overtake him as the starting PG but for now Collison is the starter, with Hill and Leandro Barbosa leading the second unit's backcourt.

Darren Collison hit 4-of-7 shots for 15 points, four rebounds, four assists and a steal in 28 minutes as the Pacers starting point guard on Friday. The Pacers basically didn't even show up tonight, but Collison's line was still efficient. There's been a lot of chatter about George Hill (12 points, four assists, 22 minutes) replacing him as the starting point guard, but Collison is the starter until further notice. Just keep in mind that Leandro Barbosa, who might be the catalyst in making this change happen, hasn't yet joined the Pacers after Thursday's trade.

Darren Collison was just 2-of-7 for four points, zero rebounds and two assists in 21 minutes on Wednesday. Pacers beat writer Mike Wells has been saying that Hill would eventually take Collison's job since the start of the season, and while we've been reluctant to jump on that bandwagon, it's important to note that Hill had 17 points, seven rebounds, four assists and three 3-pointers on 7-of-10 shooting tonight in 29 minutes. Collison is still the starter for now, but it is possible that Hill could steal his job at some point in the next few weeks. Keep an eye on both players.

Darren Collison scored eight points on 3-of-10 shooting with one rebound, two assists, and one steal over 25 minutes in Tuesday's blowout win. Collison has held the starting job all year over George Hill and would need to face-plant to give it up. That said, owners are getting ticked off with his act, but this isn't the game to make a measurement with.

Darren Collison finished Saturday's overtime loss in Miami with 14 points on 6-of-11 shooting, six assists, two steals and seven turnovers. Collison was shooting a miserable 2-of-13, which makes even this mediocre line sort of encouraging. George Hill could challenge Collison for the starting PG job before the season is over, especially with high TO games like this, but at the moment Hill is sidelined by a back injury.

Coach Frank Vogel said he doesn't anticipate any major shifts in his rotation right now. Vogel admitted that he's thought about starting George Hill over Darren Collison at point guard, but he isn't going to make that move. "I think George Hill has played better for us at shooting guard than he has at point guard," Vogel said. The slumping Collison is averaging just 6.0 points and 3.7 assists in the last three games, but his minutes appear safe.

Darren Collison hit just 2-of-7 shots for five points, four assists and a 3-pointer in Tuesday's loss to the Hawks. He was 0-for-6 on Monday, getting his four-game week off to a disastrous start. George Hill came off the bench for another solid game with 16 points, six rebounds, zero assists and a 3-pointer in 26 minutes, and has hit double figures in three straight games, but Collison is still the starting point guard for now. Expect him to bounce back against the Heat on Saturday.

Darren Collison went hitless on six shot attempts on Monday, scoring zero points with one rebound, three assists, and two steals in 31 minutes against the Bulls. He was complimented for his defense on Derrick Rose, and with most of the team struggling tonight we'll take this game with the appropriate salt. Collison is well worth owning as a low-end PG play right now, so owners need to wait and see what happens next. George Hill scored 17 points tonight, but has struggled for most of the year.

Darren Collison got hot and hit 8-of-11 shots and a 3-pointer on his way to 18 points, eight rebounds, six assists and a steal in Tuesday's OT win. Collison has scored in single figures in five of his last eight games, but has also scored 11, 18 and 18 points in three of his last four. Hopefully he'll stay hot against the Bobcats on Wednesday, and pick up where he left off after the break.

Beat writer Mike Wells expects George Hill (ankle, day-to-day) to eventually challenge Darren Collison for the starting point guard job. Without being prompted, coach Frank Vogel said that a healthy Hill would push for one of the starting backcourt jobs. Wells "can't see" Paul George moving to the bench. That leaves Collison, who has struggled at times this year and is averaging just 11.3 points to go with 5.2 assists. Hill will need some time to knock the rust off, but he may put the starter on thin ice at some point after the All-Star break.
