Johnson (personal) is expected to return to the starting lineup Sunday versus the 76ers, A. Sherrod Blakely of Comcast Sports Net reports.
EDGE Analysis
Johnson missed the Celtics previous game due to personal reasons, but is back with the team and will likely return to the starting lineup according to head coach Brad Stevens. Johnson is averaging 8.1 points, 6.2 rebounds, 0.7 steals, and 1.2 blocks in 24 minutes per game this season. Expect him to take on his usual workload Sunday.

Johnson will not play Friday against the Bulls for personal reasons, Scott Souza of the Providence Journal reports.
EDGE Analysis
It's unclear exactly what's keeping Johnson from playing, but he's away from the team Friday, and Kelly Olynyk will start in his place. Coach Brad Stevens said the team hopes to have Johnson back in time for Sunday's meeting with the 76ers in Philadelphia, but with a major winter storm set to slam the Atlantic shore this weekend, it's unclear whether traveling will be an issue. As a result, consider Johnson questionable to play Sunday.

Johnson recorded 14 points (6-11 FG, 2-4 FT), 18 rebounds, six assists, and two steals in 29 minutes during the Celtics' 103-94 win versus the Pacers on Wednesday.
EDGE Analysis
Johnson continues to pour it on of late, with averages of 13.4 points (66.7 FG, 33.3 3Pt, 50.0 FT), 10.0 rebounds, 2.8 assists, one block, and 0.6 steals in 28 minutes per game over the last five games. He is seeing the most consistent playing time among the Celtics' big men, and if he can keep producing at anything close to this level, Johnson will be worth a look in most leagues.

Johnson managed 14 points (5-6 FG, 1-1 3Pt, 3-6 FT), nine rebounds, four assists, and one block in 32 minutes during the Celtics' 101-98 loss against the Grizzlies on Sunday.
EDGE Analysis
Johnson has been enjoying his best stretch of the season lately, posting four straight games with double digit scoring. Over the last five contests, Johnson is averaging 12.2 points (71.8 FG, 33.3 3Pt, 50.0 FT), 8.2 rebounds, 2.2 assists, 1.6 blocks, and 0.2 steals in 28 minutes per game. If this recent spike in playing time and production isn't just a flash in the pan, he figures to have some real value going forward in fantasy.

Johnson posted 16 points (8-14 FG, 0-1 3Pt), 11 rebounds, two assists, and two blocks in 31 minutes during the Celtics' 99-94 loss to the Pistons on Wednesday.
EDGE Analysis
Johnson's 11 rebounds matched his season-high, and he now has three such boarding efforts on the year. This was Johnson's second double-double of the season, and over the past five games he is averaging 8.6 points (63.6 FG, 0.0 3Pt 50.0 FT), 7.6 rebounds, 1.6 assists, 1.6 blocks, and 0.4 steals in 26 minutes per game.

Johnson (foot) returned to the lineup and tallied 12 points (6-7 FG) and eight rebounds over 28 minutes in Saturday's 99-93 victory over the Pistons.
EDGE Analysis
The veteran made a successful return to the court after having missed Boston's last two contests with foot inflammation. His 12 points equaled his best scoring total in December, and the eight boards were his highest figure in that category for the month. Johnson also encouragingly had his best shooting night of the season outside of two games where he sank 100 percent of one and three shot attempts, respectively. While consistency has certainly been a problem for the 28-year-old in his first season in a Celtics uniform, he now has four double-digit scoring games and one double-double in the 10 December contests he's been a part of.

Johnson (foot) will get the start Saturday against the Pistons, the Boston Herald's Steve Bulpett reports.
EDGE Analysis
Johnson should find his way to 20-plus minutes Saturday, as David Lee (sore back) has been ruled out. The veteran forward is a better real life player than fantasy asset, and Jared Sullinger might be a better option for owners looking to profit off Lee's absence.

Johnson (foot) is expected to return Saturday in Detroit.
EDGE Analysis
Johnson has missed the previous two games for Boston, but appears on track to return Saturday. He is expected to be reevaluated after shootaround, but that all indications are that he will be good to go for the game. Expect an update on his status when further confirmation is made.

Johnson (foot) will remain out Wednesday night against the Hornets, Gary Washburn of the Boston Globe reports.
EDGE Analysis
A plantar fascia injury in his left foot will keep Johnson out for a second straight game after he missed Monday's matchup with Minnesota. Jared Sullinger, who also sat out Monday, is considered probable to return Wednesday, so assuming he starts, coach Brad Stevens said either Kelly Olynyk or David Lee will get the starting nod in place of Johnson.

Johnson (foot) is unable to play Monday against the Timberwolves, Adam Himmelsbach of the Boston Globe reports.
EDGE Analysis
Johnson has been struggling with plantar fasciitis in his left foot and has been able to practice for the last two days. The big man was listed as "50-50" to participate in Monday's game, but it looks like the Celtics took the safer route and decided to sit him to avoid further injury. Expect David Lee and Jonas Jerebko to see increased minutes for Boston.
