Davies allowed two runs on five hits and two walks over six innings Thursday against San Diego. He struck out three.
EDGE Analysis
It was a solid performance for the 24-year-old righty, who got through the sixth inning for the first time this season. He entered this contest having won four of his last five decisions, and looks to be trending in a positive direction after a disappointing April in which he featured a 6.57 ERA and 1.86 WHIP. He'll take the mound again Wednesday at home against Toronto.

Davies (4-2) allowed four runs on seven hits and a walk while striking out just two batters over five innings during Saturday's win over the Mets.
EDGE Analysis
This wasn't Davies' sharpest showing, but Milwaukee blew the game open with an eight-run fifth inning, and he left as the pitcher of record. Davies had allowed just eight runs through 21 innings over his previous four starts, and he's now won four of his past five outings. Don't overlook the 24-year-old righty in favorable matchups. A road start at Petco Park against the Padres is up next for Davies.

Davis (3-1) allowed two runs on four hits and three walks while striking out seven batters over 5.2 innings during Sunday's win over Pittsburgh.
EDGE Analysis
Davis has now won three of his past four starts with just eight runs allowed and 21 strikeouts over 21 innings. After finishing 2016 with an 11-4 record and 3.54 ERA over 25 starts, his current stretch has him trending in the right direction again. With the pool of starting pitchers decimated by injuries, Davis could be a serviceable option to slot in against favorable opponents. He lines up to face the Mets at home next week.

Davies allowed two runs on seven hits while walking two and striking out three over five innings for a no-decision in Monday's 7-5 win over the Cardinals.
EDGE Analysis
Davies has yet to go over 5.1 innings in any of his starts this season, and he needed 81 pitches in Monday's outing. The right-hander was able to lower his ERA to 6.07 on the year. Home runs have been a problem for him in his six starts, as he's allowed five of them. Davies has a 7.6 K/9 and 3.9 BB/9 and is a very mediocre fantasy starter across the board.

Davies (2-2) scattered six hits and a walk over five scoreless innings while striking out six in Tuesday's 9-1 win over the Reds.
EDGE Analysis
He needed 95 pitches (65 strikes) to barely qualify for the win. but this still ranks as Davies' strongest outing of the season so far. Despite an ugly 6.57 ERA and 1.86 WHIP, the 24-year-old does seem to be steadying the ship and has a 21:7 K:BB over his last 20.1 innings, offering an encouraging sign that he'll be able to keep chipping away at those ratios. Davies will next take the mound Monday in St. Louis.

Davies (1-2) collected his first win of the season Thursday against St. Louis, allowing four runs on eight hits and two walks across 5.1 innings. He also fanned five Cardinals.
EDGE Analysis
Despite being one of the few pitchers to be a lock for the rotation heading into the season, Davies has been less than stellar this season, with Thursday's start being no different. Just 57 of his 99 offerings went for strikes, which led to a lot of hitter-friendly counts and ultimately chased him from the contest after 5.1 frames. The right-hander was fortunate that the Brewers' offense was clicking, but he'll look to hold up his end of the bargain better in his next start Tuesday against Cincinnati.

Davies allowed three runs on five hits and two walks while striking out four batters over five innings during Saturday's loss to Cincinnati.
EDGE Analysis
Davies entered 2017 with a serviceable 3.92 ERA and 1.24 WHIP over the first 34 starts of his career dating back to 2015. Those numbers don't move mountains in the majority of settings, and especially with a 19.4 strikeout percentage, but Davies was a viable streaming option and NL-only arm. Things have gone much worse to start this season, though. The 24-year-old righty has allowed 14 runs through three starts and sports a 8.79 ERA (4.89 FIP), 2.02 WHIP and 15.5 strikeout percentage. There is potential for Davies to turn it around, but you'll likely want to take a wait-and-see approach in all formats.

Davies (0-2) allowed five earned runs and seven hits in five innings of work against the Cubs on Sunday.
EDGE Analysis
The brunt of the damage inflicted on Davies came in the first inning when the Cubs scored four runs. After giving up another run an inning later, he seemed to settle down, allowing him to finish his start with three scoreless innings. Now two starts into the season, Davies is still looking to find his fastball command that is paramount to his effectiveness as a pitcher.

Davies (0-1) coughed up six runs on nine hits and four walks in 4.1 innings during Tuesday's 6-5 loss to the Rockies. He struck out only one.
EDGE Analysis
It was a rough beginning to the 2017 season for Davies, who threw just 50 of 98 pitches for strikes Tuesday. The 24-year-old was surprisingly reliable for the Brewers last year after shaking off an 8.78 ERA in April, though, so he'll likely have a long leash this year if he has another slow start.

Davies is a lock for the Opening Day rotation, according to Brewers manager Craig Counsell, Tom Haudricourt of the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel reports.
EDGE Analysis
Davies and Junior Guerra will headline the quintet. Though Guerra had the sparkling season in 2016, Davies' improvements were lost in the shuffle. The 24-year-old's control (2.09 BB/9) says he's ready to take the next step in his development, one that fantasy owners hope will lead to an increase in strikeouts. His changeup remains a highly intriguing pitch that could facilitate his growth as a secret breakout arm.
