Davies (12-4) tossed 7.2 shutout innings in Tuesday's win over the Nationals, allowing three hits with three walks and seven strikeouts.
EDGE Analysis
Davies was excellent in this one, shutting down one of baseball's most prolific offenses while delivering his longest outing of 2017 while tying his season high in punchouts. He yielded one extra-base hit and permitted just two men to reach second base on the evening. Davies has now gone 14.2 innings since last allowing a run, with his ERA falling to a respectable 4.45 during that span. After a poor start, the 24-year-old seems to be turning a corner and will look to keep it going Sunday against the Cubs.

Davies went seven innings against the Pirates on Wednesday, allowing just an unearned run on eight hits and a walk while striking out four. He didn't factor into the decision in the eventual 10-inning loss.
EDGE Analysis
Davies turns in sharp outings like this one every now and again, but he tends to put way too many men on base (1.49 WHIP) while striking out way too few hitters (6.0 K/9) -- not a formula for success in the fantasy realm. Yes, he somehow owns an 11-4 record, but don't mistake that for an indication of success on the mound. The soft-tossing righty's next start is scheduled for Tuesday against the Nationals.

Davies (11-4) picked up the win despite allowing six runs (five earned) on seven hits and five walks with six strikeouts over 5.1 innings Friday against the Phillies.
EDGE Analysis
Davies was gifted an eight-run second inning and just barely managed to keep the floodgates from bursting. This has been the story of Davies's season thus far. He was getting an average of six runs of support per game entering Friday's start, fifth most among all qualified MLB starters. Davies's ERA is up to 5.08, though, so don't get too enamored by that slick win-loss record.

Davies (10-4) collected his 10th win of the season Thursday against the Cubs, allowing two runs on five hits in six innings pitched. He also struck out three and walked none.
EDGE Analysis
The right-hander filled the zone all afternoon, firing 71 of his 102 offerings for strikes. He got into some trouble in the third inning, but he managed to escape thanks to some nice defense behind him. Davies continues to be blessed by tons of run support, but he has also stepped up his game as of late, sporting a 2.84 ERA in his past three starts. He'll make his next start against the Phillies on the Sunday following the All-Star break.

Davies (9-4) allowed four runs on five hits and two walks in six innings during Saturday's win over the Marlins. He struck out five.
EDGE Analysis
Davies continues to benefit from some exceptional run support this season, as he is tied for the second-most wins (nine) in the National League despite some unimpressive numbers. The 24-year-old has only notched four quality starts in 17 tries this season, and his 5.03 ERA, 1.49 WHIP and 60 strikeouts across 91.1 innings fail to move the fantasy needle. He's lined up to make his next start Thursday against the Cubs.

Davies (8-4) pitched seven scoreless innings while allowing just four hits and a walk during Sunday's win over Atlanta. He didn't strikeout a single batter.
EDGE Analysis
Davies had surrendered 15 runs through 15 innings over his previous three starts, so this was a nice rebound. He's been the beneficiary of excellent run support this season, as his underwhelming 4.98 ERA and 1.51 WHIP aren't the marks of a typical eight-game winner. Failing to strikeout a batter Sunday also dropped his K/9 to a low-end 5.8. Davies isn't an intriguing fantasy asset at this stage of the game. He projects to make his next start against Miami at Miller Park.

Davies (7-4) gave up seven runs on 10 hits -- including a pair of homers -- in Tuesday's loss to the Pirates. He struck out four, walked one and hit a batter.
EDGE Analysis
A mediocre starter at best and a disaster at worst, Davies belongs on only the most desperate fantasy owners' rosters. The 24-year-old righty has seen his strikeouts decline while his walks and homers have increased, and that's resulted in only three quality starts among his 15 outings this year. He'll next draw the Braves on Sunday.

Davies allowed four runs on nine hits while striking out just a single batter during Thursday's win over St. Louis. He didn't factor into the decision.
EDGE Analysis
After flashing some upside through the first 34 starts of his career over the past two seasons, Davies has underwhelmed in 2017. He sports a lackluster 4.91 ERA, 1.54 WHIP and 6.3 K/9. His seven wins soften the blow of his poor ratios, but his fantasy floor and ceiling are still both low at this stage of the game. He projects to face the Pirates at Miller Park in his next start.

Davies (6-3) pitched six scoreless innings with just three hits and a walk allowed while striking out six batters during Sunday's win over the Dodgers.
EDGE Analysis
Sunday's outing stands out from an otherwise mediocre campaign for the 24-year-old righty. Davies sports a 4.69 ERA, 1.55 WHIP and 6.5 K/9, and his 4.93 FIP suggests he might actually be overachieving. Still, he posted a 3.92 ERA and 3.88 FIP through the first 34 starts of his career, so his smoke-and-mirrors pitch arsenal probably has positive regression ahead. He has a daunting road matchup against the Diamondbacks up next, though.

Davies gave up two runs on six hits and two walks over five innings Tuesday against the Mets. He struck out just a single batter and didn't factor into the decision.
EDGE Analysis
He'd delivered his first two six-inning outings of the season in his last two starts, but Davies wasn't able to last that long this time. The 24-year-old was able to limit the damage against him, but he continues to play with fire in every outing because he misses precious few bats and is rather homer-prone; he didn't give up a homer in this one for just the third time in 11 starts. Davies is a low-end streaming option at best right now.
