Davies gave up two runs on seven hits and two walks while striking out three in seven innings Thursday in a no-decision against the Cubs.
EDGE Analysis
He needed just 77 pitches (51 strikes) to cruise through seven frames, but in a crucial close game against the division leaders, manager Craig Counsell understandably opted to pinch hit for Davies in the bottom of the seventh inning. Davies was coming off his shortest and possibly worst start of the year, so this was an impressive outing in a huge game that the Brewers ended up losing in extra innings. He lines up to start Tuesday at home against the Reds and then again on the last day of the regular season in St. Louis.

Davies (17-9) landed in the loss column after allowing six runs on eight hits while striking out two batters in four innings Saturday against the Marlins.
EDGE Analysis
It was a forgettable night for Davies, who hadn't allowed six earned runs in his previous six starts combined prior to Saturday. The outing was also his shortest of the season; the only other time he failed to pitch five innings was in his first start of the year. Still, he owns a league-leading 17 wins to go along with a respectable 3.89 ERA through 180.1 innings this season, so he should be kept in most lineups - unless you're in dire need of strikeouts - even with a matchup against the Cubs next on the docket.

Davies (17-8) allowed just a single run on seven hits and a walk while striking out six batters through seven innings during Sunday's win over the Cubs.
EDGE Analysis
The 24-year-old righty continues to stymie opposing hitters and has now allowed just five earned runs through 39.1 innings over his past six starts. With 17 wins and a 3.67 ERA for the campaign, Davies has been a strong enough fantasy contributor that owners can settle for his underwhelming 1.33 WHIP and 6.1 K/9. Davies projects to make his next start against Miami at Marlins Park.

Davies (16-8) gave up two runs -- one earned -- on six hits and a walk over 5.2 innings Tuesday, which was enough to hand him a loss to the Reds. He struck out four.
EDGE Analysis
Milwaukee's offense didn't give him enough support, but Davies continued his streak of terrific mound performances -- over his last five starts, he's allowed only four earned runs in 32.1 innings, good for a 1.11 ERA. Of course, Davies' lack of strikeout ability means stretches like that are hard for him to sustain, but he's done well to keep the ball on the ground (and thus not over the fence) this year. That said, his 2016 numbers were better in a number of categories -- K/9, BB/9 and FIP, for a few examples. He'll make his next start Monday at home against the Pirates.

Davies (15-7) earned the win over the Dodgers on Saturday, giving up three hits over seven scoreless innings. He struck out seven and did not issue a walk.
EDGE Analysis
The right-hander stymied the best team in baseball for the second time this season -- he pitched six scoreless frames against them back in June -- ending the Dodgers' 13-game winning streak. Davies now has a 2.28 ERA since the All-Star break despite a couple hiccups against the Phillies and Twins. After a shaky first three months, Davies has reemerged as a viable option in nearly all formats.

Davies (14-7) allowed two runs on seven hits and two walks with five strikeouts over six innings but took the loss Monday against the Giants.
EDGE Analysis
Davies threw his sixth quality start in his past seven outings, but the Brewers didn't give him a single run in support. Davies now owns a 2.92 ERA since the All-Star break. His 35:17 K:BB over 52.1 innings is uninspiring, but Davies has allowed just two home runs over eight starts, and he'll continue to excel if he can keep the ball in the yard like that.

Davies (14-6) picked up the win over the Pirates on Tuesday, giving up only one run on six hits and two walks over 6.2 innings while striking out two.
EDGE Analysis
While the right-hander has been far from dominant lately, managing only a 5.3 K/9 over his last six starts, his ability to generate weak contact and keep the ball in the yard has led to a 2.20 ERA and 1.12 WHIP over that stretch. Davies will look to keep rolling Monday in a favorable road matchup against the Giants.

Fri 8/11/17 1:10 AM

Davies (13-6) allowed seven runs (six earned) on a season-worst 11 hits with two walks and three strikeouts over 5.2 innings in Thursday's loss to the Twins.
EDGE Analysis
Davies was victimized by a lot of light contact, as 10 of the hits against him were singles with the lone exception being an Eddie Rosario double. This outing ended a stretch of four consecutive quality starts in which Davies posted a 0.94 ERA despite a 4.11 xFIP, so his luck was due to swing back the other way at some point. The 24-year-old right-hander's ability to induce ground balls at a 48.4 percent rate has allowed him to find success despite a paltry 5.98 K/9, so expect him to bounce back in his next start Wednesday against the Pirates.

Davies (13-5) tossed seven shutout innings on one hit and two walks while striking out two to earn the victory Saturday against the Rays.
EDGE Analysis
Davies was locked up in a pitcher's duel, as he left the contest with a one-run lead, but the bullpen was able to preserve his 13th victory of the season. He's allowed just three earned runs over his last four starts to lower his ERA from 5.08 to 4.18, and during that time he's been an outstanding fantasy option. He'll make his next start Thursday against the Twins.

Davies (12-5) allowed three runs on seven hits while striking out six batters through seven innings during Sunday's loss to the Cubs.
EDGE Analysis
Davies entered Sunday's outing with 14.2 scoreless frames through his previous two starts, so this was another solid showing. With 12 victories already this season, Davies has established himself as a serviceable fantasy asset for owners that have lived with his underwhelming 4.42 ERA, 1.42 WHIP and 6.2 K/9. He lines up for a road start at Tropicana Field against the Rays next.
