Yu Darvish allowed three runs over 6 1/3 innings while striking out nine in Sunday's win over the Angels. Darvish wasn't perfect but he didn't need to be to pick up his second win of the season. The right-hander gave up seven hits, including two home runs, and walked one in the outing. Darvish owns a 2.87 ERA, 1.25 WHIP and 42/11 K/BB ratio heading into Friday's meeting with the Red Sox.

Yu Darvish had his shortest start as a major leaguer Monday, giving up four runs in 3 1/3 innings against the A's. Darvish had pitched five innings in 64 of his 65 starts as a major leaguer, with the lone shorter outing coming May 21, 2012 against the Mariners (4 ER, 6 BB in 4 IP). He only walked two tonight, but he was still wild and constantly getting into deep counts; he ended up throwing 83 pitches to get his 10 outs. It was his first loss of the season and also his first non-quality start.

Yu Darvish allowed three runs on eight hits and four walks over six innings in a no-decision Monday against the A's. He struck out six and coughed up a solo homer to Brandon Moss. Darvish didn't have his best stuff tonight, so he's probably happy to have battled Oakland to a draw that three scoreless relief innings helped convert into a Rangers' victory. The Japanese right-hander had been mostly lights out prior to this evening and he now owns a 1.61 ERA and 1.11 WHIP over 28 innings through four starts. Darvish toes the bump in Seattle on Sunday. He allowed two runs over seven innings on Wednesday against the Mariners.

Yu Darvish allowed two runs over seven innings, earning a no-decision in Wednesday's start against the Mariners. Darvish made the start despite suffering a cut on his right thumb earlier in the week. Overall, Darvish allowed seven hits and walked two while striking out eight. The two runs came on RBI singles in the second inning, the first two he has allowed over three starts.

Yu Darvish said Monday that he'll be fine for his scheduled start Wednesday despite a cut on his right thumb. Darvish cut the thumb with his index finger while throwing a curveball during his last start but was able to pitch through it. "Even when I was throwing it didn't hurt me," said Darvish. "I've done this so many teams that probably the nerve isn't working anymore so it didn't hurt me at all." Darvish is slated to face Felix Hernandez and the Mariners Wednesday.

Yu Darvish was outstanding in Friday's no-decision against the Astros, allowing just one hit and striking out nine over eight shutout innings. Darvish carried a perfect game into the sixth inning where Matt Dominguez singled on an 0-2 offering. He issued just one walk on the night, needing 101 pitches to get through eight frames. Unfortunately for him, Scott Feldman was brilliant on the other side of the diamond and the Rangers couldn't scratch out a run for him. He has now tossed 15 scoreless innings to begin the season, with a 15/2 K/BB ratio. He'll look to extend that dominance on Wednesday when he takes on the Mariners at home.

Rangers activated RHP Yu Darvish from the 15-day disabled list. Darvish missed his first turn through the rotation due to discomfort in his neck, but he's ready to take the ball on Sunday against the Rays. The right-hander put up a 2.83 ERA and an MLB-best 277 strikeouts in 209 2/3 innings last season.

Yu Darvish (neck) will make his 2014 regular-season debut on Sunday in Tampa Bay. Darvish threw an 86-pitch bullpen session Tuesday at Globe Life Park in Arlington, Texas and reported no lingering discomfort in his neck on Wednesday. The right-hander had a dominant 2.83 ERA and an MLB-best 277 strikeouts in 209 2/3 innings last season. He should be a fantasy ace throughout 2014.

Yu Darvish (neck) threw 86 pitches in a bullpen session Tuesday evening at Globe Life Park. Darvish made it through the workout unscathed, but the Rangers aren't going to make any determinations about his return timetable until they see how feels Wednesday morning. Darvish was placed on the 15-day disabled list in late March with neck discomfort. He is eligible to be activated this weekend.

Rangers placed RHP Yu Darvish on the 15-day disabled list, retroactive to March 21, with a neck injury. The good news is that he threw a 32-pitch bullpen session Sunday without incident and will throw another 'pen session Tuesday. Darvish will be eligible to rejoin the Rangers' rotation next weekend, and it's sound like there's a chance he'll be ready at that time.
