Yu Darvish (neck) is scheduled to start on Sunday. Darvish told reporters Wednesday that he was on track to pitch Saturday, but the Rangers will get him one additional day of rest. He had to be scratched from his previous turn through the Texas rotation because of neck stiffness. An MRI that was taken came up clean. His outing Sunday will be in Washington, D.C. against the Nationals.

Yu Darvish (neck) said through an interpreter Wednesday that he's on track to start Saturday. Darvish had to be scratched from his turn in the Rangers' rotation on Tuesday due to stiffness in his neck, but he underwent an MRI and the results were negative. His outing Saturday would be in Washington, D.C. against the host Nationals. Darvish will be monitored closely over the next few days as he prepares to make that start.

The Rangers said that MRI results on Yu Darvish's neck were "unremarkable." In other words, his neck is structurally sound. Darvish was scratched from Tuesday's outing due to neck stiffness and it's not clear when he'll be ready to start again. The right-hander got a late start this year due to neck issues and has battled problems with his neck since last season. Darvish seems likely to avoid the DL, but we'll just have to see how he recovers over the next few days.

Yu Darvish has been scratched from Tuesday's start against the Twins due to neck stiffness. Darvish reported symptoms when he woke up Tuesday morning and will undergo a precautionary MRI. It's believed to be similar in nature to the neck issue he dealt with during spring training. The Rangers have yet to name a replacement to start in his place Tuesday, but Scott Baker is the most likely option.

Yu Darvish limited the Tigers to two runs in seven innings Thursday to win for the fourth time this season. Darvish was wild early on -- he started the bottom of the first by walking Ian Kinsler on four pitches -- but he quickly settled down and turned in a strong performance. He's allowed a total of four runs over 23 2/3 innings in his last three starts. Next up for him is a start in Minnesota.

Yu Darvish received no run support and took the loss despite holding the Blue Jays to two runs over eight innings on Friday. Darvish shut the Blue Jays out through seven innings, but the Jays led off the eighth inning with a pair of bunt singles. Melky Cabrera brought them home with a double. Other than that, Darvish was sharp as usual, allowing five hits and walking three overall while striking out 11. Darvish, now with a 2.32 ERA, will face the Tigers on the road in his next start.

Yu Darvish allowed three runs over 6 1/3 innings while striking out nine in Sunday's win over the Angels. Darvish wasn't perfect but he didn't need to be to pick up his second win of the season. The right-hander gave up seven hits, including two home runs, and walked one in the outing. Darvish owns a 2.87 ERA, 1.25 WHIP and 42/11 K/BB ratio heading into Friday's meeting with the Red Sox.

Yu Darvish had his shortest start as a major leaguer Monday, giving up four runs in 3 1/3 innings against the A's. Darvish had pitched five innings in 64 of his 65 starts as a major leaguer, with the lone shorter outing coming May 21, 2012 against the Mariners (4 ER, 6 BB in 4 IP). He only walked two tonight, but he was still wild and constantly getting into deep counts; he ended up throwing 83 pitches to get his 10 outs. It was his first loss of the season and also his first non-quality start.

Yu Darvish allowed three runs on eight hits and four walks over six innings in a no-decision Monday against the A's. He struck out six and coughed up a solo homer to Brandon Moss. Darvish didn't have his best stuff tonight, so he's probably happy to have battled Oakland to a draw that three scoreless relief innings helped convert into a Rangers' victory. The Japanese right-hander had been mostly lights out prior to this evening and he now owns a 1.61 ERA and 1.11 WHIP over 28 innings through four starts. Darvish toes the bump in Seattle on Sunday. He allowed two runs over seven innings on Wednesday against the Mariners.
