Yu Darvish (head) is expected to be fine to make his scheduled start on Wednesday against the Astros.
Darvish had a ball glance off his head during batting practice Tuesday. "Everything appears to be OK," Rangers executive vice president of communications John Blake said Tuesday. "Re-examined tomorrow. Should start Wednesday." Darvish also offered relief to Rangers fans, tweeting out, "I'm fine."

Yu Darvish yielded four runs over five innings Friday in a no-decision against the Mets.
It looked like a positive development for Darvish owners when his start was pushed back from Thursday to Friday due to the weather, but things didn't exactly work out that way. He gave up a three-spot in the first inning to put himself in an early hole. He struck out six batters and walked a pair before exiting. Darvish has allowed four runs in four out of his last six starts, but also has a pair of gems mixed in there. That's why he remains a must-start each time he takes the mound. He'll bring a 2.63 ERA into a start against the Astros next week.

Yu Darvish has been scratched from Thursday's start against the Orioles and will get the ball on Friday versus the Mets instead.
It's raining in Baltimore, and the Rangers are worried about wasting Darvish during an abbreviated start. Scott Baker will start Thursday instead. Darvish will have an easier matchup now on Friday, but it also means he won't get two starts next week.

Yu Darvish delivered eight shutout innings Saturday in the Rangers' 5-0 blanking of the Twins.
Darvish carved his way easily through Minnesota's lineup, striking out 10 batters and issuing only one walk. The Twins managed just four hits. Darvish is 8-4 with a 2.42 ERA, 1.18 WHIP, and 128 strikeouts in 104 1/3 innings this season. A date with the Orioles is next.

Yu Darvish was hit hard in a losing effort against the Angels on Sunday, allowing five runs (four earned) on five hits over his six innings of work.
Darvish did manage to punch out nine Angels on the night while walking four. A pair of home runs off the bats of C.J. Cron and Kole Calhoun were responsible for the bulk of the damage against him. It's the first time that Darvish has allowed four or more earned runs in consecutive starts since the 2012 season. He'll look to get back on track when he takes on the Twins at home on Saturday.

Yu Darvish was torched once again by the A's, this time to the tune of seven runs -- four earned -- and eight hits in five innings of Tuesday's 10-6 loss.
Darvish struck out eight but had all sorts of problems locating his arsenal, walking five. The Japanese right-hander posted a 1.74 ERA in winning a career-best four straight starts coming into this matchup, but that didn't mean he was confident: Darvish's struggles against Oakland have been well documented. He was 0-7 with a 5.32 ERA in his last eight starts against the Athletics prior to this debacle. Darvish will try to bounce back when he toes the rubber against an improved Twins' offense on Sunday.

Yu Darvish improved to 7-2 in Wednesday's complete game shutout against the Marlins.
Surprisingly enough, it was the first complete game (and, obviously, shutout) of Darvish's career. The right-hander limited the Fish to six hits and three walks while striking out 10. Just another Cy Young-caliber season for Darvish, who has a 2.11 ERA, 1.12 WHIP, and 101/27 K/BB ratio in 85 1/3 innings. He'll face the Athletics on the road next.

Darvish racked up eight strikeouts on the evening while walking three. He now sits at 6-2 on the season with a terrific 2.36 ERA, 1.13 WHIP and 91/24 K/BB ratio over his first 76 1/3 innings. He'll look to continue that dominance when he does battle against the Marlins at home on Wednesday.

Yu Darvish was locked in on Sunday, as he pitched eight shutout innings while giving up just five hits and two walks and striking out 12 batters in the Rangers' 2-0 win over Washington.
Darvish, who was engaged in a pitcher's duel with the Nationals' Tanner Roark, overpowered Washington's lineup and got just enough run support to pick up his fifth win (5-2) of the year. Darvish lowered his ERA to 2.08 on the year and now owns a 83/21 K/BB ratio.
