Darvish (8-3) tossed seven scoreless innings to pick up the win Friday against the White Sox. He allowed just three hits and a walk, while striking out five.
EDGE Analysis
Making his final start of the 2020 regular season, Darvish left a good taste in the mouths of Cy Young voters, and he received plenty of run support in the 10-0 rout. The 34-year-old righty finishes the year with a 2.01 ERA, 0.96 WHIP and 93 strikeouts across 76 innings. While it was an abbreviated campaign, it was the best he's looked since coming to Chicago in 2018. Darvish will now turn his attention to the playoffs, and he'll start one of the first two games of the first round, with Kyle Hendricks getting another rotation spot and then possibly Jon Lester in a potential Game 3.

Darvish (7-3) allowed four earned runs on nine hits across six innings to take the loss Sunday against the Twins. He struck out nine and walked one.
EDGE Analysis
Darvish had only allowed two runs when he came out for the seventh inning, but he quickly gave up a double followed by a two-run home run by Max Kepler to get chased from the game. The righty hasn't been as sharp lately, as he's now allowed nine hits in each of his last two outings. Darvish is still squarely in the Cy Young race, though his recent performance could be hurting his chances in a crowded field. He'll take a 2.22 ERA, 1.00 WHIP and 88:13 K:BB across 69 innings into his final start of the regular season, which is scheduled for Friday against the White Sox.

Darvish allowed three earned runs on nine hits and one walk while striking out seven across seven innings Tuesday against Cleveland. He did not factor into the decision.
EDGE Analysis
Darvish surrendered a season-worst nine hits but still managed to last seven frames and turn in a quality start. He also maintained his control -- 77 of his 100 total pitches went for strikes -- so it appears he was just missing some feel for his pitches. For the season, Darvish still has a stellar 2.00 ERA with a 0.94 WHIP while maintaining a 79:12 K:BB across 63 innings. He currently lines up to take his next turn through the rotation Sunday against Minnesota.

Darvish (7-2) allowed three earned runs across six innings to take the loss Wednesday against the Reds. He gave up two hits and three walks, while striking out nine.
EDGE Analysis
Darvish was good but starting pitcher counterpart Trevor Bauer was better, as the latter combined with two relievers to shut out the Cubs. This was the first time in his last eight starts that Darvish has allowed more than a single earned run, and the Japanese righty still has a sparkling 1.77 ERA, 0.88 WHIP and 72:11 K:BB through 56 innings this season. Those numbers put Darvish squarely in the National League Cy Young race, and he'll look to keep up the strong work in his next outing, which is scheduled for Tuesday against Cleveland.

Darvish (7-1) allowed one run on one hit and struck out 11 over seven innings in a win over the Cardinals on Friday.
EDGE Analysis
Darvish was once again absolutely dominant, with the only mistake being Matt Carpenter's solo home run in the sixth inning. Over his last seven starts -- all wins -- Darvish hasn't allowed more than a run in each outing. He's also recorded double-digit strikeouts three times in that span. He's got a 1.44 ERA, 0.88 WHIP and 63:8 K:BB through 50 innings this season. The right-hander's next start is expected to be at home Wednesday versus the Reds.

Darvish (6-1) gave up seven hits and two walks over six scoreless innings Saturday to pick up the win in the first game of a doubleheader against the Reds. He struck out eight.
EDGE Analysis
The Cubs defense turned two double plays behind him, but Darvish didn't need much help in carving up the Cincy lineup. The right-hander now boasts a 1.47 ERA to go along with his NL-leading six wins, and he stands a good chance of adding to that total in his next outing Thursday, on the road against the woeful Pirates.

Darvish (5-1) allowed one earned run on six hits and one walk while striking out 10 across seven innings to earn the win Sunday against the White Sox.
EDGE Analysis
Darvish tamed a hot White Sox lineup, allowing only a solo home run to Jose Abreu in the second inning. He otherwise dominated, generating 26 swinging strikes on 103 total pitches while surrendering no other extra-base hits. Darvish is in the midst of a dominant campaign, as he has allowed no more than one earned run in five of his six starts. Overall, he's maintained a 1.70 ERA with a 44:6 K:BB ratio across 37 innings. He lines up for his next outing Saturday at Cincinnati.

Darvish (4-1) earned the win over St. Louis on Tuesday, pitching six innings and allowing one run on eight hits and one walk while striking out seven.
EDGE Analysis
Darvish allowed at least one hit in all but one of his innings, but he was able to limit the Cardinals to one run by inducing two double plays and yielding only one extra-base knock. The quality start was the fourth in a row for Darvish, each of which has resulted in a win. He has allowed only three runs in 26 innings during that span, lowering his season ERA to a pristine 1.80. The right-hander is next projected to start at home against the White Sox on Sunday.

Darvish (3-1) earned the win Thursday over the Brewers with seven innings of one-run ball. He allowed just one hit and two walks while striking out 11.
EDGE Analysis
Darvish was in cruise control and had a no-hitter going into the seventh inning. Justin Smoak ruined Darvish's no-hit and shutout bids with a solo home run, but it was still a dominating effort for the righty, who has now earned the win in his last three outings. Darvish will take a 1.88 ERA and 27:4 K:BB across 24 innings into his next start, which is scheduled for Tuesday against St. Louis, though the Cardinals haven't played since July 29 due to a coronavirus outbreak within the organization. If Darvish gets pushed back, he'll likely pitch against the White Sox sometime next weekend.

Darvish (2-1) allowed one run on five hits and one walk while striking out four over seven innings in a win over the Royals on Wednesday.
EDGE Analysis
Darvish made his layup in Kansas City, as he did last week at home against Pittsburgh. He does not have a big strikeout game yet this season, but Darvish has issued only two walks in 17 innings which is a very encouraging sign. The right-hander tightened up his control down the stretch last year and was one of the best pitchers in the game after an ugly first half of 2019. Darvish lines up for a road start in Cleveland in the first of two starts next week.
