Wily Peralta has been diagnosed with left hamstring tightness. Peralta had to leave Tuesday's start against the Nationals due to the ailment. The Brewers will monitor his status over the next few days before they determine whether he's able to take his next turn. He tossed 5 1/3 scoreless innings before exiting.

Wily Peralta lasted just five innings Thursday, allowing seven runs -- three earned -- on eight hits and a walk in a loss to the Cubs. Peralta wasn't exactly sharp, but a pair of error in a four-run third inning doomed him. The young righty had been pitching much better in June, putting up a respectable 4.15 ERA and 1.35 WHIP, but even in his best month he's been a bit inconsistent. He'll bring an ugly 5.58 ERA and 1.61 WHIP into next week's matchup on the road versus the Nationals.

Wily Peralta held the Braves in check Friday night, allowing just two hits over seven scoreless innings as part of a 2-0 victory. Both hits were singles. Peralta walked four and struck out four in the victory. This was his first scoreless outing this season and just the second time he had completed seven innings. With an underwhelming 5.59 ERA and 49/36 K/BB ratio over 87 innings this season, we wouldn't get too carried away in fantasy leagues.

Wily Peralta allowed three runs over six innings in taking a no-decision against the Marlins on Tuesday. Peralta was better than his last time out, but the right-hander still owns a 6.03 ERA and 1.66 WHIP on the season. His low strikeout total has been especially troubling, as Peralta now has just 43 punchouts in 74 2/3 innings. He'll have a week off in between starts, with his next scheduled for Tuesday in Houston against the lowly Astros.

Wily Peralta's difficult 2013 season continued in Thursday's loss to the Phillies as he was tagged for five runs on seven hits in his five innings. Peralta also walked four on the night while punching out just two. While he's shown the occasional flashes of brilliance, the 24-year-old right-hander may be best served getting more seasoning in the minor leagues. He'll carry a 4-7 record and 6.16 ERA into Tuesday's start against the Marlins in Miami. Even with the intriguing matchup, he shouldn't be trusted in most fantasy leagues at this point.

Wily Peralta pitched seven innings of two-run ball to beat the Phillies on Saturday. Peralta had lost four straight start, giving up 21 runs -- 16 earned -- in 17 2/3 innings during the span. Today's start was the first in 12 outings this season in which he's completed seven innings. At 4-6 with a 5.94 ERA, he's still a poor risk in NL-only leagues.

Wily Peralta will move up a day in the rotation to start Saturday against the Phillies. Mike Fiers was originally scheduled to go Saturday, but he'll be pushed back to Sunday. Peralta allowed four runs (three earned) in five innings Monday against the Twins and has lost four straight starts.

Wily Peralta gave up four runs -- three earned -- and walked five in five innings Monday in a loss to the Twins. If not for Kyle Lohse's injury, there's a good chance Peralta would have been sent down after his last start. The Brewers really don't have any quality alternatives, but Peralta isn't doing them any good with his 6.35 ERA and 1.73 WHIP through 10 stats.

Wily Peralta lasted just 1 2/3 innings and gave up six runs -- four earned -- Wednesday in a loss to the Dodgers. Even Peralta's good outings haven't been anything special, and he's now 3-5 with a 6.45 ERA for the season. The Brewers may think about making a switch to Mike Fiers and sending Peralta down. Unfortunately, their Triple-A rotation has been awful, so there's no help there.

Wily Peralta was knocked around for seven runs (six earned) over five innings Friday in a loss to the Cardinals. Peralta gave up five runs in the first inning, the big blow of which was a grand slam by David Freese. He hung in there for another four innings and finished with a season-high strikeouts, but the damage was already done. With a 5.94 ERA through nine starts, he'll need to show more consistency to be trusted in fantasy leagues.
