Wily Peralta allowed four runs -- three earned -- on five hits and two walks over six innings in Sunday's loss to the Reds.
Peralta was tagged for four runs and got his pitch count way up in the first three innings. He settled in a bit after that, but by then it was too late. The youngster also struck out just three and hasn't whiffed more than five in any start this season. The lack of strikeouts and inconsistent results have made him a fantasy option best left on the waiver wire. He'll take on the Cardinals next.

Wily Peralta limited the Rangers to three runs -- two earned -- over six innings on Tuesday night.
Peralta scattered five hits and did not walk a batter, bouncing back nicely from his disastrous outing last Thursday against the Cardinals. The young right-hander got his third win and dropped his ERA from 6.00 to 5.54. He is a fringe option in NL-only fantasy leagues.

Wily Peralta was tagged for six runs in 4 1/3 innings by the Cardinals on Thursday.
The BABIP gods were unhappy with Peralta tonight: the rookie allowed 11 hits, every last one of which was a single. Seven of those hits came in the Cardinals' six-run third inning. Peralta gets the Rangers next time out, so NL-only leaguers will probably want to keep him reserved.

Wily Peralta allowed three runs in six innings Saturday in a win over the Dodgers on Saturday.
Peralta has won two in a row, and he's turned in three quality starts in five tries this season. Less impressive are his 5.02 ERA and 15/12 K/BB ratio through 28 2/3 innings. He's worth owning in NL-only leagues, but he's not a great play with the Cardinals next on the schedule.

Wily Peralta allowed six runs -- five earned -- in four innings against the Giants on Tuesday.
It was a disappointing showing for the righty, who would have earned an easy win if he'd just lasted another inning. He was only slightly less effective than his counterpart, though, allowing seven hits and three walks while striking out one in his four innings. He'll face the Cubs on Sunday, but at this point it's hard to know what to expect from the 23-year-old.

Wily Peralta allowed three runs -- two earned -- in 6 2/3 innings as the Brewers lost to the Cubs on Tuesday.
Peralta didn't take the loss for the effort, as the bullpen blew what would have been the 23-year-old's first win of the season. As it is, Peralta has a 4.50 ERA and 1.42 WHIP through two starts. His pursuit of that first victory will continue next Tuesday against the Giants.

Wily Peralta allowed six hits and four runs over 5 1/3 innings in the Brewers' loss to the Rockies on Wednesday.
The 23-year-old is pitching for a chance to remain in the starting rotation, and Wednesday's audition wasn't a strong argument in his favor. Along with the six hits, Peralta walked three batters and allowed a two-run home run to Wilin Rosario. Still, Peralta has much higher upside than Chris Narveson or anyone else who would take his rotation spot. One bad start likely won't change his status.

Wily Peralta gave up four runs (two earned) in 4 1/3 innings in Friday's loss to the Brewers.
Peralta allowed four hits and three walks while striking out three. The 23-year-old right-hander will finish Cactus League play with a 5.40 ERA and 11/7 K/BB ratio over 20 innings this spring. While he makes for an interesting flier in fantasy leagues, some growing pains are to be expected. Chris Narveson lingers as a potential replacement in the bullpen, but hopefully the Brewers exercise patience.

Wily Peralta is expected to open the season as the Brewers' No. 5 starter.
Michael Fiers is expected to serve in long relief following the addition of Kyle Lohse. Peralta has looked inconsistent this spring, posting a 5.74 ERA, but he showed his upside last year during a late-season audition, holding a 2.25 ERA over five starts. He's a nice late-round flier in fantasy leagues.

Wily Peralta allowed six runs over 5 1/3 innings in his start Sunday against the Padres.
Peralta gave up 10 hits, including two home runs. He also issued two walks and struggled with his command. The 23-year-old right-hander has looked inconsistent this spring, but will open the season as the Brewers' fifth starter.
