Wily Peralta allowed two runs on four hits over eight innings in Sunday's loss to the Mariners. It was a solid performance from Peralta, but he was outpitched by Felix Hernandez and handed his 12th loss of the season. He didn't allow any walks and had four strikeouts in the complete game effort. Peralta has a 3.52 ERA in four starts since the All-Star break.

Wily Peralta allowed just one run on five hits over 6 1/3 innings Tuesday against the Giants. Peralta struck out six in the victory and walked two. The right-hander is a talented enigma at this point in his career, a pitcher in whom fantasy owners can't yet rely. He posted a 5.58 ERA through June, dominated to the tune of a 0.31 ERA over his first four starts of July, and crashed to a 8.31 ERA in his last two outings. Peralta has as good a chance as any to string together consecutive quality starts when he takes the mound in Seattle this weekend.

Wily Peralta allowed four runs -- three earned -- in five innings in a loss to the Cubs on Wednesday. After allowing just one home run in July coming into the start, Peralta allowed two to Cubs batters. In all he allowed five hits and two walks while striking out five. It was Peralta's second loss in as many games, dropping him to an unsightly 7-11 with a 4.57 ERA. He gets the Giants in San Francisco on Tuesday.

Wily Peralta was knocked around for eight runs (five earned) over 3 2/3 innings in a loss to the Rockies. He gave up seven hits and three walks while striking out just two batters. Peralta has shown some really positive signs in recent starts, but this wasn't the right matchup to trust him in mixed fantasy leagues. He stands a good chance to rebound next week against the Cubs.

Wily Peralta allowed just two hits over eight shutout innings Sunday against the Marlins. He struck out seven and walked two in the no-decision. Peralta entered July with a 5.58 ERA, but he's been lights-out since, allowing just one run (on a solo homer) over 29 1/3 innings in four starts. Now 7-9 with a 4.30 ERA, Peralta needs to be picked up in mixed leagues and played until he cools off. Despite his struggles earlier this year, Peralta entered the season as a top prospect. His success isn't of the smoke-and-mirrors variety.

Wily Peralta allowed just one run on seven hits over seven innings Sunday against the Diamondbacks. He gave up two walks and had eight strikeouts. Wily Peralta threw a three-hit shutout as the Brewers beat the Reds 2-0 on Tuesday. Peralta exited his last start due to a strained hamstring but showed no ill effects on Tuesday, allowing just three hits and four walks while striking out six. He's now allowed zero runs in three of his last four outings while lowering his ERA to 4.82. Still just 24, Peralta is worth a look in deeper mixed leagues while he's pitching like this. His next start is against the Diamondbacks in Arizona on Sunday.

Wily Peralta (hamstring) has been bumped to Tuesday. Peralta was scheduled to take his next turn in the Brewers' rotation on Sunday afternoon, but he made an early exit from his previous outing with a left hamstring strain and the Brewers want to treat him with care. Tom Gorzelanny will start Sunday against the Mets.

Brewers manager Ron Roenicke said that Wily Peralta (hamstring) was "iffy" to make his scheduled start on Sunday. Peralta said after leaving Tuesday's game with a strained left hamstring that he would be fine for the outing, but Roenicke isn't so sure. "I think that's still iffy," Roenicke said, "but I'm really glad that he's feeling well." The Brewers will track his progress over the next few days before making a decision.

Wily Peralta (hamstring) thinks he'll be ready for his next start. Peralta left Tuesday's outing after 5 1/3 scoreless innings due to a tight left hamstring. It's good that he's feeling confident he'll be ready this weekend, but the Brewers will have to track his progress over the next few days before making a determination.
