Peralta (6-9) allowed four runs on six hits, including three homers but took a victory over the Cubs on Tuesday. He also struck out six and walked one over 7.2 innings.
EDGE Analysis
Milwaukee's offense spotted him 12 runs to work with, so despite the four earned runs allowed, Peralta was able to capture his sixth victory of the season. Home runs should still be a concern, though, as he's tossed up seven dingers in the last 25.2 innings. His next start will be Monday against Cincinnati.

Peralta allowed just one run on three hits and a walk with 10 strikeouts over seven innings but was left with a no-decision Tuesday against St. Louis.
EDGE Analysis
Peralta has been much better since returning from the minors August 9, as he now has three quality starts in five outings and a 3.00 ERA over 30 innings of work. Most stunning though is the 10 strikeouts, as he topped his season high of just six, which he has reached twice this season (August 9 against Atlanta, May 20 against the Mets). Peralta still owns a brutal 5.53 ERA on the season, but his improvement since returning to the majors is enough to make him worth watching once again.

Peralta gave up two runs on five hits and three walks over five innings in a no-decision against Pittsburgh on Thursday.
EDGE Analysis
It took him 100 pitches to navigate through those five inefficient frames, ending his streak of three straight six-inning starts. Once a promising young starter, Peralta's now 27 years old and has been among the worst pitchers in baseball this year. On the bright side, though, he's given up two or fewer runs in three of his last four starts, a stretch that's seen him finally pull his ERA under the 6.00 mark.

Peralta (5-8) allowed one run on four hits and one walk while striking out five over six innings to earn the victory Sunday against the Reds.
EDGE Analysis
After owning a 7.30 ERA on May 14, Peralta's now brought that number all the way down to 6.00 in his seven starts since then. This is the first time in his five-year career that the righty has posted higher than a 4.72 ERA. He'll make his next start Friday against the Mariners.

Peralta (4-8) allowed two runs on four hits and three walks with six strikeouts over six innings in a loss Tuesday to Atlanta.
EDGE Analysis
Peralta notched a quality start in his first start back in the majors since June 11, something he failed to do in each of his final six starts before his demotion. Unfortunately, it's hard to get too excited about this start -- Peralta had a horrid 6.31 ERA in 10 starts at Triple-A Colorado Springs. His success Monday was likely more due to the awful Braves lineup, which is dead last in the National League at 3.56 runs scored per game.

Peralta will be recalled from Triple-A Colorado Springs to start Tuesday's game against the Braves.
EDGE Analysis
Peralta will start in place of the injured Junior Guerra (elbow). In his 13 starts with the major league club this season, he posted a 6.68 ERA and 1.88 WHIP over 66 innings pitched before being demoted to the Triple-A level in June.

Peralta was optioned to Triple-A Colorado Springs on Sunday, Tom Haudricourt of the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel reports.
EDGE Analysis
Despite earning the win Saturday against the Mets, Peralta still surrendered two home runs, leaving his ERA at a disappointing 6.68 on the year. Manager Craig Counsell may have tipped the organization's hand following that contest, as he remained non-committal when asked whether Peralta would be making his next scheduled start. The right-hander is one of the hardest throwing starters in the Milwaukee rotation, but has been victimized heavily by walks (3.68 BB/9) and home runs (19.4 percent HR/FB) this season, with both of the aforementioned marks representing career lows. The 27-year-old will now have to work things out in the minors before getting another chance with the big league club. Milwaukee has yet to officially announce a replacement in the rotation, though the expected return of Matt Garza (back) this week would represent a logical choice.

After Saturday's game, manager Craig Counsell would not commit to Peralta taking his next turn in the rotation, Adam McCalvy of MLB.com reports.
EDGE Analysis
Counsell stressed that there were no physical issues that led to Peralta's removal from Saturday's game against the Mets after 63 pitches. Peralta earned the win over New York but was not good by any means, giving up three runs on five hits (including two homers) and one walk while striking out four over five innings. Matt Garza (back) looms as a threat to take Peralta's spot late this upcoming week.

Peralta has not yet officially lost his rotation spot, MLB.com's Adam McCalvy reports.
EDGE Analysis
Peralta had a favorable matchup against the Phillies on Sunday, as the team checked in with the second-worst wOBA (.281) in all of Major League Baseball entering the contest. The right-hander effectively failed to keep the light-hitting Phillies in check, allowing six runs (five earned) on seven hits and two walks over 4.1 innings. It was the fifth time this season that Peralta has allowed five or more earned runs in a start, and the 27-year-old has yet to make it past the sixth inning in a start this year. Despite the struggles, manager Craig Counsell and the Brewers plan to stick by their starter in hopes of Peralta eventually righting the ship. If improvement doesn't begin to show in the near future, however, this topic of conversation will almost surely be revisited.

Peralta (3-6) allowed three runs on nine hits and two walks with two strikeouts over five innings in a loss Tuesday to the Cardinals.
EDGE Analysis
Peralta still isn't missing bats. He drew five swinging strikes in 97 pitches and failed to strike out more than two batters for the fourth time in 11 starts. Peralta has a rough 37:24 K:BB and still can't find the reliable secondary pitch he needs to keep hitters off balance. His ERA sits at 6.51 and it won't be going down by much until he can resolve his horrendous 13.5 H/9.
