Peralta gave up two runs on five hits and three walks over five innings in a no-decision against Pittsburgh on Thursday.
EDGE Analysis
It took him 100 pitches to navigate through those five inefficient frames, ending his streak of three straight six-inning starts. Once a promising young starter, Peralta's now 27 years old and has been among the worst pitchers in baseball this year. On the bright side, though, he's given up two or fewer runs in three of his last four starts, a stretch that's seen him finally pull his ERA under the 6.00 mark.
