Harris struck out two and worked around a hit to nail down his ninth save in Tuesday's win over Seattle.
EDGE Analysis
Harris made his first All-Star team and it's hard to argue with his inclusion despite his late ascent to the closer's role. Tuesday's effort lowered his ERA to 0.72 and he now owns a brilliant 38:6 K:BB in 37 innings. Harris showed signs of major talent last year, when he posted a 1.90 ERA and 68 strikeouts in 71 innings, but the 31-year-old has reached a new level this year.

Harris pitched a perfect ninth inning Monday against the Mariners to earn his eighth save of the season. He struck out one.
EDGE Analysis
Harris threw 10 of his 15 pitches for strikes in what amounted to his fourth consecutive scoreless appearance for Houston. Astros manager A.J. Hinch lobbied hard for Harris to make the All-Star team last season when he wasn't closing games. Now that he's earned the ninth-inning role, the 31-year-old has a much better chance of making the team, especially with a 0.74 ERA, 0.87 WHIP and 36:6 K:BB over 36.2 innings.

Harris struck out two to work around two hits and record his seventh save in Monday's win over the Angels.
EDGE Analysis
Harris has now given up five hits in his past two innings after giving up just 18 in his first 31.2 innings this year. Still, Harris was nasty enough to get out of the jam and remain perfect in save chances. He now has 34 strikeouts to back up his brilliant 0.80 ERA and 0.86 WHIP.

Harris allowed a run but recorded his sixth save of the season in a 3-2 victory over the Angels on Wednesday.
EDGE Analysis
It was Harris' first save chance in a week, but not because Houston has lost faith in him. The Astros haven't had a save situation heading into the ninth since June 15. Despite yielding a run, Harris is now 6-for-6 with a 0.83 ERA, 0.83 WHIP and 32 strikeouts in 32.2 innings.

Harris picked up his fourth save in a scoreless ninth with a strikeout in Tuesday's win over the Cardinals.
EDGE Analysis
Harris picked up his 31st strikeout in just 29.2 innings as well. He has been dominant all year long with a 0.61 ERA and a 0.79 WHIP. His last outing snapped a 27-inning scoreless streak, but he bounced back just fine and is perfect in save opportunities since the Astros started using him in the closer's role June 5.

Harris allowed a run for the first time since April 7, but still registered a save for the third straight appearance in a 4-3 victory over the Rays on Saturday.
EDGE Analysis
Coming into Saturday night, Harris had thrown 27 straight scoreless innings. Prior to Saturday, he also had 10 consecutive appearances with at least one strikeout. Both streaks were snapped versus Tampa Bay, but he recorded his third save in three tries. Harris received his last save opportunity on a night when Luke Gregerson was unavailable, but Saturday, Gregerson pitched the eighth. It appears Houston will go with a closer-by-committee moving forward, but Harris clearly has the superior numbers over Gregerson and Ken Giles.

Harris allowed a single during the ninth inning Wednesday at Texas, but he struck out a batter and earned his second save of the season.
EDGE Analysis
Michael Feliz, who Astros manager A.J. Hinch mentioned as a possible option to see save chances, worked a scoreless seventh inning Wednesday. Luke Gregerson was not available for the game after pitching two consecutive days and Ken Giles did not hear his number called after allowing two hits and a run during his latest appearance Monday. Harris lowered his ERA to 0.33 with his 26th consecutive scoreless appearance.

Harris logged a 1-2-3 inning Sunday to pick up his first save of the season.
EDGE Analysis
Harris hasn't been scored upon since his first appearance of the year back on April 7, and now owns a sparkling 0.34 ERA on the season. This effort has certainly gained the attention of manager A.J. Hinch, who elected to use Harris instead of presumed closer Luke Gregerson in Sunday's save situation. Per Julia Morales of ROOT Sports, Hinch doesn't intend to name a closer right away, but plans on giving several options cracks at the ninth inning for the time being. Considering Harris' performance to date, the right-hander certainly merits closer consideration, and at the very least, might be an option for cheap saves in the short term.

Harris retired Manny Machado, Adam Jones and Chris Davis in order during Tuesday's 3-2 win over Baltimore to extend his scoreless appearance streak to 19 games.
EDGE Analysis
Harris, who recorded a 26-game scoreless appearance streak last season, has been spectacular for the Astros. His 0.44 ERA ranks first among big league relievers who have logged at least 20 innings this season.

Harris has a 0.46 ERA and 0.66 WHIP after appearing in 19 games this season.
EDGE Analysis
After giving up one run in his first game of the season, Harris has been one of the only reliable options in an otherwise broken Astro's pitching staff that has a collective ERA of 4.54. Since that run, Harris has thrown 18.1 straight scoreless frames. While Harris hasn't pitched a stretch of more than two innings, his control and efficiency have been extremely valuable, as his K/BB is 10.00 and his opponent batting average is just .157.
