Manager A.J. Hinch said that Harris (shoulder) will kick off a throwing program Monday, Brian McTaggart of MLB.com reports.
EDGE Analysis
Harris will presumably throw off flat ground Monday and gradually increase his throwing distance in the days to follow before progressing to mound work. The Astros will see how the shoulder responds to the initial activity before etching out a more defined return timetable for the right-hander.

Harris was placed on the 10-day disabled list due to right shoulder inflammation, Brian McTaggart of MLB.com reports.
EDGE Analysis
Harris had missed three-plus weeks due to the same issue before being activated from the DL on Friday, so it appears he aggravated the shoulder within the last two days, despite not having pitched for the Astros. The team will give Harris some more time off to let the inflammation subside, but given the recurring nature of the injury, it may be unwise to bet on him returning in the minimum amount of time. Luke Gregerson should see more opportunities as part of the bridge to closer Ken Giles while Harris is sidelined.

Harris (shoulder) was activated from the 10-day DL on Friday.
EDGE Analysis
Harris returns to the Astros after spending over two weeks on the disabled list, although he hasn't pitched in a major-league game since July 2. The right-hander has been steadily strengthening his arm, which culminated in a rehab outing Wednesday with High-A Buies Creek. He will slide right back into his setup role while being deployed in high-leverage situations moving forward.

Harris (shoulder) is expected to be activated for Friday's series opener in Detroit, Jake Kaplan of the Houston Chronicle reports.
EDGE Analysis
Harris had just one rehabilitation outing and apparently that was enough for the Astros. With Dallas Keuchel also returning Friday, Houston is likely to make room on the roster by sending down outfielder Derek Fisher and reliever Michael Feliz to Triple-A Fresno. Harris should resume his role as a high-leverage reliever.

Harris pitched a perfect inning with two strikeouts and 15 pitches thrown in a rehab start Wednesday for High-A Buies Creek, Brian McTaggart of MLB.com reports.
EDGE Analysis
Expect Harris to make one or two more rehab appearances before likely returning at some point during this weekend's series against the Tigers. Harris was among Houston's best relievers when he went down on July 5, as he owns a 2.86 ERA with 39 strikeouts against just five walks over 34.2 innings.

Harris (shoulder) is scheduled to make a rehab start in the minors Wednesday before likely rejoining the Astros on Friday, Brian McTaggart of MLB.com reports.
EDGE Analysis
Harris has been sidelined for two and a half weeks with the shoulder injury, but if he looks strong during his return to game action Wednesday at a yet-to-be-determined affiliate, the Astros should feel comfortable activating him in time for their weekend series with the Tigers. The right-hander has been the top setup man for closer Ken Giles this season, racking up a team-high 17 holds to go with a 2.86 ERA and 0.95 WHIP in 34.2 innings.

Harris (shoulder) played light catch Friday, Jake Kaplan of the Houston Chronicle reports.
EDGE Analysis
According to Kaplan, the reliever made 20 throws from 60 feet and 20 more from 90 feet. It's good to see him getting stretched out a bit in terms of distance, although it's tough to see him returning for another week or two given that he isn't on a mound yet. A clearer return date should emerge once he progresses to that point in his rehab program.

Harris (shoulder) expects to play catch at some point over the next few days, Julia Morales of AT&T SportsNet reports.
EDGE Analysis
Harris has been out since July 14 with right shoulder inflammation, which is being considered as a bone bruise, and will likely miss at least another week while he continues to recover. If all goes well during the next couple days, the Astros may be able to plan for a rehab assignment in the near future for their key reliever, if he winds up needing a few game at the minor-league level before returning to Houston.

Harris was placed on the 10-day disabled list with right shoulder inflammation, Brian McTaggart of MLB.com reports.
EDGE Analysis
Harris hasn't pitched since July 5, so this move can be backdated by three days. As such, Harris could miss as little as a week with this move and could return July 21 against Baltimore. Expect the Astros to announce a corresponding roster move sometime before Saturday night's game against the Twins.

Harris allowed three runs on three hits and a walk over a third of an inning in Saturday's 7-6 win over the Yankees.
EDGE Analysis
Harris entered with two men on and promptly served up a walk, single, then a grand slam. He and Chris Devenski have been the main relievers in high-leverage spots but Harris has allowed home runs in two consecutive appearances and his 6.43 ERA over the last seven is not confidence building. Houston's resilient offense took Harris off the hook Saturday but we'll be keeping an eye on manager A.J. Hinch's choices for high-leverage and eighth-inning work going forward.
