Harris allowed one hit and one inherited runner to score while striking out one over one inning in Saturday's 5-2 win over the Mariners.
EDGE Analysis
Harris relieved starter Lance McCullers, who left with men on first and third and no outs in the sixth inning, to face the heart of the Seattle order. In between a strikeout and an inning-ending double-play grounder, Robinson Cano's chopper deflected off diving first baseman Yulieski Gurriel's glove for a run-scoring single. The hold was his team-high 15th of the season. Harris is the reliever manager A.J. Hinch trusts the most in a high-leverage spot like Saturday's.

Harris (2-2) allowed a home run on his first pitch in Friday's 2-1 loss to Boston.
EDGE Analysis
Mookie Betts jumped on a cutter that caught too much of the plate, providing the game-deciding hit to tag Harris with his second loss of the season. Harris, who has emerged as Houston's setup man, had entered the game having allowed just one run over his last 10 innings.

Harris struck out two over 1.1 scoreless innings in Tuesday's 4-2 loss to Texas.
EDGE Analysis
Harris has emerged as manager A.J. Hinch's go-to reliever in a high-leverage spot. And that spot Tuesday turned out to be the fifth inning when starter Brad Peacock, pitching on short rest, was pulled after 96 pitches and the bases loaded. Harris got the Astros out of danger and increased his string of scoreless appearances to six. Over his last 10 outings, Harris has allowed one run on three hits and a walk while striking out 15. On nights when closer Ken Giles is not available, Harris will be Hinch's first choice in a save opportunity.

Harris struck out two in a scoreless inning to pick up the save in Saturday's 5-2 win over Baltimore.
EDGE Analysis
Houston's closer Ken Giles had pitched the last two days and was unavailable Saturday, so Harris stepped in to serve as closer for the second time this season.

Harris picked up his eighth hold of the season, striking out two in a scoreless eighth inning in Monday's 1-0 win over Detroit.
EDGE Analysis
This normally might be a spot for Luke Gregerson, who was available but has had some shaky moments this month. So, the eighth inning bridge has been Harris for the last four games that closer Ken Giles has saved. It's working right now for manager A.J. Hinch, so there's no reason to shift back to Gregerson.

Harris allowed one hit and struck out two to pick up his first save of the season in Tuesday's 8-7 win over the Rangers.
EDGE Analysis
Houston closer Ken Giles was unavailable, so it fell to Luke Gregerson to save the game but he walked a batter and served up a homer, cutting a three-run lead to one. Enter the 32-year-old Harris, who's been an effective reliever in the pen during his two-plus seasons with the Astros. He has some experience closing, having saved 12 games for Houston in 2016 when the Astros were rotating closers until they settled on Giles.

Harris pitched a scoreless ninth inning in Wednesday's 5-1 win over the Angels. The dependable right-hander has not allowed a run in 6.2 innings over six appearances.
EDGE Analysis
Harris was summoned after closer Ken Giles dispatched the hardest part of the Angels order in the eighth inning. By the time Harris entered the game, Houston had increased its lead to four runs and a save opportunity was no longer available. Had there been one, Harris would have been in line for a surprise save. Houston relievers have general roles, but manager A.J. Hinch doesn't have hard-and-fast rules for when he'll deploy them. As such, there may be times when guys Harris, Luke Gregerson or Chris Devenski close with a game on the line.

Harris struck out all three batters faced in Sunday's game against the Nationals.
EDGE Analysis
Harris has pitched two consecutive perfect innings, striking out five of six batters faced. As one of three Houston relievers to post double-digit saves in 2016, he's shown the ability to close out games. The first choice to save games in 2017 will be the same guy who finished in the closer's role last season, Ken Giles. Harris and Luke Gregerson, who saved three games for Team USA in the World Baseball Classic, will be available as fill-ins for Giles, who has blown 25 percent of his save opportunities the last two seasons.

Harris (groin) pitched a perfect inning of relief in his first game back from injury Wednesday.
EDGE Analysis
Harris looked good in his first game after tweaking his groin during his Feb. 28th appearance. The Astros shut him down to aid his recovery, and it seems to have paid off, as the reliever said he felt fine in his first appearance in eight days. It was good," Harris said. "Just another step in the right direction toward opening day."

Harris (groin) is scheduled to pitch in a Grapefruit League game Wednesday, Jake Kaplan of the Houston Chronicle reports.
EDGE Analysis
After tweaking his groin in a Feb. 28 appearance, the Astros shut down Harris for the last few days to aid his recovery, and it appears the right-hander has responded well to the time off. He was able to complete a bullpen session over the weekend without a hitch, so assuming he incurs no setbacks over the next couple of days, look for him to toss an inning Wednesday.
