The Mets had some discussions this week about moving d'Arnaud from catcher to left field, but have tabled that idea for now, Marc Carig of Newsday reports. The Mets considering moving d'Arnaud due to his injury history and to make room behind the plate in the future for Kevin Plawecki. The team decided that having depth at catcher is a good thing and that while d'Arnaud bat may be above-average behind the plate, it would not be the case in left field. There is some speculation that d'Arnaud could get dealt if Plawecki proves ready, but that decision is a bit down the road.
