Tim Hudson yielded four runs -- three earned -- in seven innings to beat the Braves on Thursday.
Hudson had a shaky first in which he allowed two runs on a walk and three singles, but he was better after that. Most importantly, he picked up Chris Johnson after Johnson's error in the fifth led to a run. With two men on and one out, he got Brandon Phillips to ground into a double play, preserving Atlanta's 6-4 advantage.

Tim Hudson held the Phillies to one run over seven innings Saturday in the Braves' big 13-4 victory.
Hudson got a ton of run support and simply cruised, throwing 64 of his 92 pitches for strikes while fanning four and walking none. He yielded only five hits, and they were all singles. But the veteran right-hander has been very inconsistent this season and is not a great fantasy streaming option next week at home against the Reds.

Tim Hudson said Friday that there's no basis to Peter Gammons' report that the veteran right-hander has told former teammates that he thinks he could be traded.
Hudson brought up the subject unprovoked after he was asked about it by some of his current teammates. It was a strange rumor to begin with, as a contending team like the Braves appears likely to keep their rotation depth rather than attempt to spin it off for other parts. Hudson also added that he has been bothered by a neck issue for the past six weeks or so, but doesn't consider it a big deal.

MLB.com's Peter Gammons reports that Tim Hudson has told some former teammates that he thinks he could be traded.
The report comes out of nowhere, as Hudson is a big piece in the rotation of the NL East-leading Braves. Atlanta does have Brandon Beachy (elbow) possibly near a return, but it would certainly be a risk to deal Hudson. It's worth noting that Hudson was pushed back from Friday to Saturday, with the Braves not providing a reason. Gammons lists the Rangers, Red Sox and Giants as clubs that could have interest in the veteran righty.

Tim Hudson has been pushed back a day in the Braves' rotation and will start on Saturday in Philadelphia.
He's being flip-flopped with Paul Maholm, who will now get the ball on Friday. No reason was given for the switch, but there doesn't appear to be any injury issue.

Tim Hudson allowed four runs over 5 2/3 innings Saturday in a no-decision against the Diamondbacks.
Atlanta's offense bailed Hudson out with a burst of 11 runs. Hudson yielded five hits and walked three, watching his ERA rise from 4.10 to 4.22. He will try to bounce back next week against the Phillies at Citizens Bank Park.

Tim Hudson allowed two runs in six innings as the Braves lost to the Brewers on Saturday.
It was not exactly a crisp outing for the veteran right-hander, who yielded seven hits and four walks. He also got no support from the Atlanta offense, falling to 4-7 on the year. Hudson will try to bounce back in his next scheduled start at home against the Diamondbacks.

Tim Hudson surrendered just one run on six hits and three walks over his seven frames Monday against the Mets.
He struck out six. Hudson (4-6, 4.17 ERA) was in line for the loss before Freddie Freeman's walk-off homer took him off the hook. The veteran entered June with an unsightly 5.37 ERA, but he's been lights-out this month, allowing just five earned runs in 28 2/3 innings covering four starts, all of which were quality outings. There were whispers late last month that Hudson might lose his rotation spot, but you'll hear nothing of the sort now.

Tim Hudson fell to 4-6 after giving up three runs and five hits in 7 1/3 innings Tuesday against the Padres.
Hudson, who recently tweeked his mechanics, pitched quite well over the final 4 1/3 innings tonight, allowing just one hit and walking none. Overall, he struck out seven and walked one. He's been the weak link in the Braves' rotation of late, but it's still very, very hard to imagine him losing his spot to Brandon Beachy.

Tim Hudson suffered a tough luck loss against the Dodgers on Thursday, surrendering just one run on four hits over his seven frames.
Hudson racked up five strikeouts in the contest without walking a batter. He was extremely efficient on the evening as well, needing just 76 pitches to get through seven innings. While the overall results haven't been great, Hudson has been outstanding in each of his last two starts. He'll look to continue that trend when he takes on the Padres in San Diego on Tuesday.
