Tim Hudson surrendered just one run on six hits and three walks over his seven frames Monday against the Mets. He struck out six. Hudson (4-6, 4.17 ERA) was in line for the loss before Freddie Freeman's walk-off homer took him off the hook. The veteran entered June with an unsightly 5.37 ERA, but he's been lights-out this month, allowing just five earned runs in 28 2/3 innings covering four starts, all of which were quality outings. There were whispers late last month that Hudson might lose his rotation spot, but you'll hear nothing of the sort now.
