Anderson is not in the lineup Friday against the Royals, Daryl Van Schouwen of the Chicago Sun-Times reports.
EDGE Analysis
The rookie hasn't had a day off since September 2, so he'll head to the bench for a day off. Tyler Saladino will take over for Anderson at shortstop for the night.

Anderson (calf) is back in the lineup Saturday against the Twins, Colleen Kane of the Chicago Tribune reports.
EDGE Analysis
A bruised calf forced Anderson from Thursday's game but he will return Saturday after missing just one start. Anderson has hit at a higher clip and for more power than many were when he was promoted earlier this season, but his impact on the basepaths has been limited. He's managed 18 steals between Triple-A and the majors (seven with the White Sox) after swiping 49 bags in 2015.

Anderson (calf) is not in the lineup for Friday's game against the Twins, according to Colleen Kane of the Chicago Tribune.
EDGE Analysis
Anderson left Thursday's game with a bruised calf, and he will get at least one day to rest and recover from his setback. Carlos Sanchez will get the start at shortstop in Anderson's place.

Anderson left Thursday's game with a bruised right calf.
EDGE Analysis
The White Sox are listing Anderson as day-to-day, so it's seemingly a short-term concern, but this could affect his availability for the next several games. Anderson went 1-for-2 before being replaced at shortstop by Tyler Saladino with Carlos Sanchez taking over at second base.

Anderson went 3-for-4 with a double, an RBI and two runs against the Mariners on Thursday.
EDGE Analysis
He went hitless Wednesday, but still has eight base knocks over the last four games, with three of those going for extra bases (two doubles and a triple). The rookie shortstop's shown surprising pop since being called up (seven homers, 16 doubles), but his speed's shown up surprisingly little (six steals in eight tries over 64 games) and has struggled mightily with his plate discipline (7:78 BB:K). Anderson was always a high-BABIP hitter in the minors, but he'll find it hard to sustain his current .376 mark in that category as a major leaguer, so his long-term success will hinge on the improvement of his batting eye.

Anderson tripled, scored twice and knocked in two runs in a 2-for-4 game Tuesday against the Phillies.
EDGE Analysis
Anderson has started 15 straight games for the White Sox and has been fantastic, with a .339/.387/.615 line and eight extra-base hits in that span. He still has struck out 17 times in just 56 at-bats, however, and Anderson is going to struggle to say this hot if he can't make more consistent contact.

Anderson went 1-for-4 with a solo home run in the White Sox's loss to the Marlins on Sunday.
EDGE Analysis
His solo shot off closer Fernando Rodney was his sixth home run of the season, and Anderson has shown a bit more power than was expected in his rookie campaign. Unfortunately, he has shown the anticipated level of aggressiveness at the plate, with 70 strikeouts to just five walks in 55 games. Hence, he has slid from the leadoff spot of the White Sox's lineup to sixth.

Anderson (hand) will start at shortstop in Saturday's game against the Orioles.
EDGE Analysis
Anderson was held out of Friday's game after bruising his hand in Thursday's contest, but it turns out that will be the extent of his absence. Anderson is 0-for-9 at the plate this month, but he will hit out of the leadoff spot Saturday night.

Anderson (hand) is out of the lineup against the Orioles on Friday.
EDGE Analysis
Anderson was hit on the hand by a pitch during Thursday's contest and left the game in the first inning. He is not expected to miss any significant time as the X-rays came back negative, but he is on the bench for Friday's game as Tyler Saladino takes over at shortstop.

Anderson is day-to-day after leaving Thursday's game with a bruised left hand.
EDGE Analysis
He was hit on the hand by a pitch in the first inning and left Thursday's game, being replaced by Tyler Saladino at shortstop. X-rays on the hand were negative, so he should not miss significant time. After getting off to a hot start to his big league career, Anderson has tailed off and is now slashing just .264/.271/.398 with five homers and four steals in 206 plate appearances. He has plenty of long-term upside, but his approach needs a lot of work, so it may take a while before he fully rewards his owners in keeper and dynasty leagues.
