Anderson has started strong at Double-A Birmingham, posting a .313/.331/.429 slash line with 15 steals and 13 extra-base hits through his first 163 at-bats. This is his first extended trial at the Double-A level, and he seems to have not found issue with the league's more advanced pitching. He still hardly walks -- he has just four walks on the season -- but he has also downed his strikeout rate to a career-best 21.6 percent. There is no need to rush him through the system at this point, so expect for him to spend much of the season at the level.

Anderson, 21, is 3-for-7 (.429) with two RBI and two stolen bases through two games for Double-A Birmingham. Anderson battled shoulder and wrist injuries last season but still slashed .301/.327/.481 with nine home runs, 40 RBI and 10 steals in 83 games between three levels. He will have to improve his plate discipline at the higher levels; Anderson fanned 82 times while drawing just nine walks in 2014.
