Wright received the rare complete game loss, allowing three runs on five hits over eight innings against the Royals on Wednesday. He also struck out six and walked one.
EDGE Analysis
Two of his last three starts have been complete games. The only big mistakes Wright made were to Eric Hosmer, who hit a two-run homer in the second, and Jarrod Dyson, who tripled to lead off the sixth and scored on a sacrifice fly. Wright kept the ball down, recording 10 ground ball outs Wednesday, which were his most since his first outing of the year. Wright will make his next start Wednesday against the Rockies.

Wright will start the first game of Boston's day-night doubleheader Wednesday in Kansas City, Mass Live reports.
EDGE Analysis
Monday's rainout in Kansas City is forcing the Red Sox and Royals to play a doubleheader Wednesday. That is Wright's scheduled day, but now his start comes at 2:00 pm Eastern.

Wright allowed five runs on nine hits and two walks while striking out three in 4.1 innings in Friday night's loss to the Astros.
EDGE Analysis
Wright had been a top-five starter in terms of ERA through his first six starts, but the knuckle-baller finally faltered in his seventh start of the season. A steady rain made it difficult to get a good grip, which meant it had less of its trademark action. He kept it together for the first four innings, but it all went south in the fifth. It's one bad night, which can be explained away by the weather, so this shouldn't influence manager John Farrell, who will have some rotation decisions to make in the coming days as both Eduardo Rodriguez (knee) and Joe Kelly (shoulder impingement) near the ends of their rehabilitation stints.

Wright went the distance in Sunday's start versus the Yankees, allowing just one run with seven strikeouts and just one walk.
EDGE Analysis
The knuckleballer's impressive season rolls on, as he tossed a complete game for the first time in his career and lowered his ERA to a minuscule 1.52 through 41.1 innings. Wright has elevated his pitch count at times by walking batters at a high rate, but his improved control Sunday allowed him to navigate through all nine frames on just 101 pitches. He looks like a legitimate weapon for a Red Sox rotation lacking in consistency, and he will look to keep it rolling Friday versus Houston.

Wright (2-3) allowed two runs on three hits and four walks (one intentional) over six innings in a loss Tuesday to the White Sox.
EDGE Analysis
Wright was sharp, as he induced 12 swinging strikes and eight ground ball outs. Unfortunately, he was out-dueled by Jose Quintana, who allowed just one run over eight innings of work. Still, Wright has started the season with five consecutive quality starts, and his 2-3 record belies a fantastic 1.37 ERA and 31:15 K:BB in 32.1 innings this season.

Wright allowed two runs (one earned) on three hits and three walks while striking out eight in seven innings to earn his second straight win in Wednesday night's 9-4 win over Atlanta.
EDGE Analysis
Wright has allowed a total of four earned runs in 26.1 innings (1.37 ERA) over his first four starts and is the staff's improbable leader despite being cast its fifth starter when the season began. What was once considered a temporary fill-in role for the injured Eduardo Rodriguez (knee) now has a ring of permanency to it. Rodriguez will have a spot in the rotation when he returns, but it will come at Joe Kelly's expense, not Wright's.

Wright (1-2) allowed one run on four hits and five walks while striking out six over 6.2 innings to earn the win Friday at the Astros.
EDGE Analysis
Wright was staked to a five-run lead before giving up a run in the seventh inning that ended his night. Despite winning just once in three decisions, he's yet to allow more than two runs in any of his three starts, and he lowered his ERA to 1.86. He'll make his next start Wednesday against the Braves.

Wright (0-2) allowed two runs on six hits while striking out six over six innings, and took the loss Sunday against the Blue Jays.
EDGE Analysis
Wright gave up both of his runs in the first inning before settling down nicely and picthing five shutout innings. Despite a record of 0-2, he's been outstanding in his two starts with a 2.13 ERA along with 11 strikeouts over 12.2 innings. He'll make his next start Friday at the Astros.

Wright allowed two runs (one earned) on six hits and three walks while striking out five in 6.2 innings in Sunday's loss to the Blue Jays.
EDGE Analysis
Wright becomes the first Boston starter to explore the seventh inning, but was also the fourth straight to permit first-inning runs. He was able to overcome those early runs, keeping the dangerous Toronto in check after the first. He'll stick around in the rotation at least until Eduardo Rodriguez (knee) returns, but could stick if other starters (Clay Buchholz, Joe Kelly, Rick Porcello) aren't performing well.

Wright will be available out of the bullpen prior to making his first start of the regular season, the Boston Globe reports.
EDGE Analysis
Wright, the knuckle-baller who is the temporary fill-in for Eduardo Rodriguez (knee) in the rotation, made his final preseason start Friday, allowing two runs while striking out eight in 5.2 innings. There's nothing splashy about Wright, who regularly pitches into the sixth inning as a starter while keeping Boston in games, but as a fifth starter, he should be helpful to fantasy teams.
