EDGE Analysis
Pearce started each of the last three games, but he'll be replaced at first base by Logan Morrison, who will hit sixth in the order against the Angels' Jered Weaver.

Pearce went 2-for-4 with a double and a three-run homer against the Dodgers on Wednesday.
EDGE Analysis
The long ball was a big one, snapping a 2-2 tie after a hit and a walk set the table for Pearce to open the sixth inning. As per usual, it came off a lefty in Dodgers starter Alex Wood. Pearce hit cleanup in this one, the seventh time this year he's appeared in that lineup slot, and his middle-of-the-order at-bats when the Rays face southpaws make him an attractive DFS play.

Pearce went 2-for-4 with a solo homer in Tuesday's 10-5 loss to the Dodgers.
EDGE Analysis
The veteran tagged former Rays stalwart Scott Kazmir with the bases empty in the fifth for his second homer in his last four starts. Pearce has proven to be a solid addition to the Tampa attack, and has now reached base safely in five straight contests. He's displayed solid plate discipline as well, whiffing only six times in 46 at-bats. Pearce's .283/.365/.435 line has manager Kevin Cash contemplating providing him with additional opportunties beyond strict platoon situations.

Pearce may continue to see a rise in playing time outside of strict platoon situations, Joey Knight of the Tampa Bay Times reports.
EDGE Analysis
The veteran utility infielder has considerably outperformed Logan Morrison (4-for-50) at the plate. Pearce has played every position in the infield outside of shorstop, and his positional versatility and respectable offensive numbers (.263/.349/.368 over 38 at-bats) look likely to afford him additional playing time. The 33-year-old had been slotted for work against both handedness of pitchers since the beginning of the season, according to manager Kevin Cash. "Not making an excuse, but the off days kind of put a wrinkle in things, and then we had the rainout (April 9 in Baltimore)," Cash said. "Pearce is a big part of our lineup, Logan Morrison is a big part of our lineup ... it's on me to kind of balance that a little bit."

Pearce is starting at first base and batting second Monday against the Orioles, Steve Carney of 620 WDAE reports.
EDGE Analysis
Pearce will get the start for the second night in a row after going 2-for-4 with an RBI and two runs. Although the RBI opportunities may not be as frequent while he's hitting out of the two-hole, he could be in line for some runs hitting in front of Evan Longoria and Corey Dickerson.

Pearce went 2-for-4 with a solo homer and two runs scored in Sunday's 8-1 victory over the Yankees.
EDGE Analysis
After whiffing twice and going 0-for-3 overall on Saturday, Pearce bounced back with his first multi-hit game of the season and first homer as well. The utility infielder thoroughly lived up to his designation in the three-game series versus the Yankees, playing at either corner in the first two contests, and then notching a start at second on Sunday. The 33-year-old's positional flexibility is indisputable, but more consistent offensive contributions the likes of Sunday's would go a long way towards likely affording Pearce even more opportunities. He's currently slashing a modest .257/.333/.371 line through 35 at-bats in 2016.

Pearce will start at second base and bat fifth in the order Sunday against the Yankees, Roger Mooney of the Tampa Tribune reports.
EDGE Analysis
After starting at either first base or third base in the Rays' previous three games, Pearce's positional versatility will earn him yet another turn in the lineup. He's not exactly making the most of his opportunities with a .226 batting average and three RBI over his 31 at-bats on the campaign, but his ability to slot in just about anywhere on the diamond and in the outfield should continue to earn him a steady diet of starts over the course of the season.

Pearce went 1-for-3 with an RBI double in Sunday's 3-2 victory over the White Sox.
EDGE Analysis
The veteran first baseman got Tampa's scoring started with a double to deep center field off Jose Quintana, plating Brandon Guyer. The 33-year-old started all three games versus the White Sox over the weekend, going 2-for-11 with Sunday's double and RBI. He's struggled at the plate so far this season, slashing a .227/.227/.273 line over his first 22 at-bats.

Pearce will bat cleanup and start at first base Sunday against the White Sox, Roger Mooney of the Tampa Tribune reports.
EDGE Analysis
The White Sox's lefty-heavy rotation will allow Pearce to make his third straight start, as he'll be asked to take over Corey Dickerson's lineup spot Sunday. Despite having the platoon advantage in his favor for much of the series, Pearce has gone just 1-for-8 with a strikeout against the White Sox.

Pearce will hit fifth and play first base Saturday versus the Orioles,
Marc Topkin of the Tampa Bay Times reports.
EDGE Analysis
The veteran will draw his fourth start of the season at first base, as Logan Morrison shifts to the DH role for the night. The 32-year-old Pearce has two hits in his first seven at-bats of the season, and offers some serviceable power in the heart of the Tampa lineup.
