Pearce (elbow) will start at second base for Tuesday's game against Kansas City, Marc Topkin of the Tampa Bay Times reports.
EDGE Analysis
Pearce aggravated a pre-existing elbow issue during Monday's game and ultimately left the contest, but he will be able to remain in the lineup against Dillon Gee on Tuesday. It's especially encouraging that Pearce will be able to play the field as well Tuesday rather than be used as the DH. He'll bat cleanup in the Rays' order.

Pearce, who left Monday's 6-2 loss to the Royals after eight innings due to elbow irritation, says he's been dealing with ailment for "a while".
EDGE Analysis
The Rays' utility man reports that the issue intensified on a swing in Monday's game. Prior to that instance, Pearce had apparently been able to manage whatever discomfort he'd been feeling. He's logged 11 consecutive starts heading into Tuesday, and reports that he should be able to keep that streak going in the second game of a three-game set versus the Royals.

Pearce is in the lineup for Saturday's tilt with the Yankees, Steve Carney of 620 WDAE reports.
EDGE Analysis
Pearce will start at second base and bat cleanup for the Rays. He went 2-for-4 with a home run on Thursday before getting the night off Friday. He has been seeing the ball well recently; batting .343 over his last ten games.

Pearce was 2-for-4 with a solo home run in a losing effort against the Yankees on Friday night.
EDGE Analysis
The utility-man's eighth home run didn't come until the ninth inning, and was too-little, too-late, but his .297 average with 20 RBI, and very useful multiple position eligibility have been a nice asset for fantasy teams.

Pearce went 1-for-3 with a solo homer, walk and two runs scored in Friday's 7-5 victory over the Tigers.
EDGE Analysis
Hitting cleanup once again, Pearce came through with his second homer in three games, while also driving in his fifth run over that span. The veteran utility man is enjoying a particularly strong May, slashing .341/.434/.795 over 44 at-bats during the month. His current .302 average also represents a 51-point improvement over his career .251 figure.

Pearce is out of the lineup for Wednesday's game against the Blue Jays.
EDGE Analysis
Despite being a big factor in Tuesday's win over Toronto, Pearce will get the day off Wednesday with the Blue Jays turning to R.A Dickey on the mound. Tim Beckham will take Pearce's spot at second base Wednesday and bat ninth in the order against the knuckleballer.

Pearce went 2-for-3 with a double, RBI, a run scored and two walks in Tuesday's 12-2 victory over the Blue Jays.
EDGE Analysis
The veteran utility man hit out of the cleanup spot and manned second base, and continues to validate manager Kevin Cash's decision to work him into the lineup in non-platoon situations. Pearce has particularly taken off this month, during which he's now slashing .341/.429/.756 over 41 at-bats. He's tallied six multi-hit efforts in May, and has hit .571 (4-for-7) with a double, homer, four RBI, three walks and three runs scored in the first two games of the series against the Blue Jays.

Pearce hit his sixth home run, scored twice and drove in three runs in a 2-for-4 game in Monday's win over the Blue Jays.
EDGE Analysis
Pearce now has three multi-hit games over the past week and has hit three of his six home runs in that span. He's still stuck at four games played at second base but did record his second game played at third base when he moved to the position after Evan Longoria was pinch-hit for with the game out of hand at 13-2 in the eighth inning. Pearce's .288/.370/.538 batting line is high quality at any position, but if he had positional eligibility, his .908 OPS would rank third in the American League among second basemen, behind just Logan Forsythe and Robinson Cano.

Pearce will start at second base and bat seventh in the order Sunday against the Athletics, freelance Tampa Bay writer Roger Mooney reports.
EDGE Analysis
It's the fifth straight game that Pearce will find himself in the lineup, including his third at second base. Pearce will likely be the Rays' primary option at the keystone after Logan Forsythe (shoulder) hit the DL on Saturday and is expected to miss more than the 15-day minimum.

Pearce went 2-for-3 with two solo homers and a walk in Tuesday's 6-4 loss to the Mariners.
EDGE Analysis
The veteran went deep against Wade Miley in both the second and fourth inning, giving him four homers in just 19 May at-bats. The 33-year-old has been deployed to perfection by manager Kevin Cash, seemingly producing almost every time he garners a start. Pearce is now slashing .368/.429/1.053 to date in May, and considering Logan Morrison's monumental struggles to date this season, could continue seeing playing time outside of strict platoon situations.
