Pearce will start at second base and bat fifth in the order Sunday against the Yankees, Roger Mooney of the Tampa Tribune reports.
EDGE Analysis
After starting at either first base or third base in the Rays' previous three games, Pearce's positional versatility will earn him yet another turn in the lineup. He's not exactly making the most of his opportunities with a .226 batting average and three RBI over his 31 at-bats on the campaign, but his ability to slot in just about anywhere on the diamond and in the outfield should continue to earn him a steady diet of starts over the course of the season.
