Pearce (elbow) is available off the bench Monday against the Blue Jays, Jon Meoli of the Baltimore Sun reports.
EDGE Analysis
While Pearce is available to play in Monday's contest, manager Buck Showalter said that he'd rather save Pearce for Tuesday's matchup against the left-handed J.A. Happ. Pearce has a great .301/.380/.510 line for the season, but has been fantastic against lefties. When a southpaw is the mound, Pearce hits .329/.427/.643.

Pearce (elbow) is not in the lineup Monday against the Blue Jays.
EDGE Analysis
Pearce had a 3-for-4 showing in Sunday's victory over the Yankees, but he was forced out of the contest early after tweaking a lingering elbow injury. The 33-year-old typically doesn't occupy an everyday role with the Orioles, so it's possible his absence from the lineup isn't related to the injury, but he should be considered day-to-day regardless until he returns to the field.

Pearce was removed from Sunday's 5-0 win over the Yankees in the bottom of the seventh inning after tweaking a preexisting forearm/elbow injury, Jon Meoli of the Baltimore Sun reports.
EDGE Analysis
Serving as the team's leadoff hitter for the afternoon, Pearce turned in one of his best games in an Oriole uniform, going 3-for-4 with a solo homer and three RBI. However, he was unable to escape the game unscathed as he felt a twinge in his elbow on the sixth-inning long ball and was pulled from the game an inning later as a precaution. It's not believed that Pearce is dealing with anything serious, but the fact that the elbow pain resurfaced after it bothered him earlier in the month is something the team will have to monitor closely.

Pearce will start at first base and bat second in the order Sunday against the Astros.
EDGE Analysis
Pearce launched a solo home run in Saturday's contest, and will end up making his third start of the season at first base Sunday afternoon. The shuffle will send Chris Davis to right field, while Mark Trumbo serves as the DH.

Pearce (elbow) is back in the lineup for Tuesday's game against Boston.
EDGE Analysis
After a week-long absence from the lineup due to a nagging elbow injury, Pearce will draw back into the order for Tuesday's series opener. He's slated to bat fifth in the order as the DH against Boston lefty Eduardo Rodriguez. He carries a .350 average and a 1.117 OPS against lefties into Tuesday.

Pearce (elbow) remains out of the lineup Sunday against the Giants, Roch Kubatko of MASN Sports reports.
EDGE Analysis
After taking batting practice Friday, Pearce was optimistic he'd get back in the lineup at some point during the three-game series in San Francisco, but Orioles manager Buck Showalter will continue to keep him on the bench. On a more fortunate note, Pearce was able to make an appearance as a pinch-hitter Saturday, likely taking a DL stint off the table. Pearce figures to return to the lineup at some point during the week, but his fantasy value has really taken a hit with the move from the Rays to the Orioles at the trade deadline. Due to the existing talent on the Orioles' roster, Pearce may have to settle for the small side of a platoon with Hyun Soo Kim in left field.

Pearce (elbow) remains out of the lineup Saturday against the Giants.
EDGE Analysis
Pearce was hoping to make it back in time to face Madison Bumgarner but he will end up missing another start, marking his sixth straight absence. If Pearce doesn't show enough to gain clearance from the training staff in the coming days, the team may not have much of a choice but to backdate a DL stint.

Pearce (elbow) is hoping to return to the lineup Saturday against the Giants, MASN's Roch Kubatko reports.
EDGE Analysis
An elbow issue has sidelined Pearce since last weekend, but he was able to take batting practice prior to Friday's game and seems eager to get back onto the field. Pearce is 20-for-58 (.345 average) with five homers, 16 RBI and an 11:14 BB:K against left-handed pitching this season. Madison Bumgarner starts for the Giants on Saturday.

Pearce (elbow) will attempt to hit in the cage Thursday, but hasn't began throwing at this time, Roch Kubatko of MASN Sports reports.
EDGE Analysis
Pearce expected to return to action later this week, but might not rejoin the club until next week since he hasn't even started throwing yet. He is still confident that he will avoid the DL, but he has been out the past three games and isn't going to see the field Thursday. Pearce will likely come back to Baltimore early on next week, barring any setbacks.

Pearce (elbow) expects to return to action later this week, MASN's Roch Kubatko reports.
EDGE Analysis
Evidently, the cortisone shot Pearce received is already taking effect, as he reported feeling better Tuesday and is confident he will avoid the DL. The 33-year-old Pearce figures to play primarily against lefties upon his return but should also see occasional starts against opposing right-handers. He has more than held his own against right-handers this year (.810 OPS) but the O's have Chris Davis and Pedro Alvarez locked into regular roles.
