Pearce (elbow) will attempt to hit in the cage Thursday, but hasn't began throwing at this time, Roch Kubatko of MASN Sports reports.

Pearce expected to return to action later this week, but might not rejoin the club until next week since he hasn't even started throwing yet. He is still confident that he will avoid the DL, but he has been out the past three games and isn't going to see the field Thursday. Pearce will likely come back to Baltimore early on next week, barring any setbacks.
