Vogt went 2-for-4 with a solo home run in a 4-2 victory over the Angels on Monday night.
EDGE Analysis
It's a reminder that Vogt has double-digit home run power despite fading drastically in the second half of 2016. It's understandable to question how much he has left in the tank at age 32 though, especially when he struggles at home and against southpaws. However, you could do much worse as your second catcher in two-backstop formats.

Vogt (heel) is back in the lineup for Thursday's game, Susan Slusser of the San Francisco Chronicle reports.
EDGE Analysis
Vogt missed a game earlier in the week with a heel issue, but the A's were never worried he'd miss more than that. He's back behind the plate after a few days off and will look to continue his solid spring, where he's slashing .316/.381/.421 across 19 at-bats.

Vogt has been dealing with a minor heel issue and will not play Monday, Susan Slusser of the San Francisco Chronicle reports.
EDGE Analysis
The issue doesn't appear to be overly serious, and Slusser also noted that Vogt is scheduled to DH Tuesday and return to catching Thursday after their off day. He should be considered day-to-day until he's back behind the plate.

Vogt went 2-for-3 with a two-run double, another two-bagger, a bases-loaded walk and two runs in Thursday's 12-5 Cactus League win over the Reds.
EDGE Analysis
The veteran backstop boosted his spring average to .375 with Thursday's production and has been relatively consistent at the plate since spring began. His early success at the plate could be a harbinger of a bounce-back campaign for Vogt, whose home run, RBI, batting average, OBP, slugging and OPS metrics were all down last season when compared to 2015.

Vogt went 2-for-3 with an RBI infield single in Monday's 5-4 Cactus League win over the Giants.
EDGE Analysis
Vogt's infield single in the first brought in Khris Davis, giving Oakland a 2-0 lead at the time. The veteran backstop, who's playing on a one-year, $2.965 million deal in 2017 after avoiding arbitration, will look to improve on the .251/.305/.406 line he generated in 2016, which represented a drop from his level of performance in the previous two campaigns.

Vogt avoided arbitration with the Athletics on Friday with a $2.965 million deal, Jerry Crasnick of ESPN reports.
EDGE Analysis
Vogt's 2016 season didn't quite meet the standards of his previous two, posting lower numbers in all three slash statistics, but he still managed to make the All-Star Game and cement himself as a leader on the A's. This was the first round of arbitration for the 32-year-old.

Vogt tallied five RBI in a 14-5 victory over the Royals, going 2-for-4 with a double, a home run and a walk.
EDGE Analysis
After knocking in just three runs over his first 12 September games, Vogt nearly double that output on one night in Kansas City. The long ball was his first of the month and 12th of the year. Barring a late-season power surge, Vogt's going to fall short of last year's 18 homers and 71 RBI, but he's still having a solid campaign with his .261/.310/.418 slash line.

Vogt drove in two runs, scored twice and walked twice in a 3-for-3 game in Monday's win over the Royals.
EDGE Analysis
Vogt was hitting just .217/.280/.330 since August and needed a game like this to help break out of the extended slump. Vogt's season line is a mediocre .262/.311/.412, and if he wants to prove he still has the bat to warrant a spot on Oakland's roster, he'll need to keep hitting in September.

Vogt went 1-for-3 with a homer and four RBI Sunday against the Cardinals.
EDGE Analysis
Vogt broke a six-game hitless streak when he blasted his 11th homer of the year, and he's now slashing .260/.306/.421 on the year. Unfortunately, each of his slash numbers are at their lowest point in the last three years.

Vogt is out of the lineup for Saturday's game against the Cardinals.
EDGE Analysis
The A's will plug Bruce Maxwell in behind the plate Saturday to give Vogt the day off. Vogt is mired in an 0-for-16 slump in which he's struck out seven times while drawing zero walks.
