Kalish cleared waivers and was outrighted to Triple-A Iowa on Sunday, MLB.com's Carrie Muskat reports. Kalish failed to make much of a splash during his time with the Cubs this season, batting .242 with no homers and three stolen bases. He'll see more regular at-bats at Triple-A, but profiles as no better than a fourth or fifth outfielder at the major league level at this point in his career.

Kalish hit .242/.303/.330 with the Cubs this season over 39 games, but was demoted to Triple-A and has now been taken off the 40-man roster to make room for Jacob Turner, who the Cubs just acquired from the Marlins. This likely eliminates him as a candidate for September call-ups.
