Suarez (4-1) earned the win during Saturday's 8-3 victory over the Dodgers, allowing three runs on five hits and one walk with six strikeouts in seven innings.
EDGE Analysis
Two early homers gave Suarez a big lead and the 26-year-old did his job to prevent a potent Dodgers team from exploding, avoiding trouble in each inning other than the fourth. The lefty appears to have found his stride, going at least six innings while allowing three runs or fewer in three of his last four turns with at least six strikeouts and over 100 pitches in consecutive outings. He'll look to keep things rolling with a start against San Diego projected for next week.

Suarez (3-1) picked up the win in Monday's 9-0 victory over the Mariners, giving up four hits and two walks over six scoreless innings while striking out seven.
EDGE Analysis
The southpaw didn't allow a runner to get past second base as he dominated over 104 pitches (66 strikes). It was a welcome performance from Suarez, who hadn't struck out more than four batters in any of his first five starts of the season while managing only one quality start. Despite this effort, the 26-year-old will still carry a disappointing 3.68 ERA and 1.50 WHIP with a tepid 16.7 percent strikeout rate into his next outing.

Suarez (2-1) took the loss Tuesday against the Rangers after giving up five runs (three earned) on six hits with three strikeouts and two walks across five innings.
EDGE Analysis
The 26-year-old pitched well for most of the evening but surrendered two home runs to account for all three of the earned runs against him. Suarez was pulled in the sixth inning after the first two batters reached via a single and an error, and both runners came around to score as unearned tallies with two outs. The left-hander has yet to give up more than three earned runs in a start this season, though his 4.63 ERA remains unimpressive. Suarez was never going to replicate his performance from last season -- when he had a 1.36 ERA, 1.00 WHIP and 107:33 K:BB over 106 innings -- but he's still been below expectations early in 2022.

Suarez (2-0) earned the win and allowed three runs on seven hits and a walk, tossing six innings while striking out three in a 7-3 victory Wednesday over Colorado.
EDGE Analysis
Suarez allowed a couple of runs in the third and a solo home run to C.J. Cron in the sixth. Otherwise, he was effective, relying on balls in play and the defense behind him. It was the longest start of the season for the lefty and he threw 97 pitches. Through four starts, the 26-year-old has unimpressive numbers with a 4.42 ERA and 8:12 BB:K in 18.1 innings but the Phillies have managed to win each time he's taken the mound. His next start will likely be early next week against Texas.

Saurez allowed one run on four hits and three walks over 4.2 frames in Friday's 4-2 win over Milwaukee. He struck out four and did not factor in the decision.
EDGE Analysis
The lone run to score against Suarez was Hunter Renfroe's sacrifice fly in the third frame. He threw 55 of 89 pitches for strikes and forced eight whiffs in the outing. The 26-year-old southpaw is now sporting a 4.38 ERA with a 9:7 K:BB through 12.1 innings this season. Suarez is projected to start at home against the Rockies next week.

Suarez (1-0) earned the win Saturday against the Marlins after giving up two runs on six hits and three walks while fanning four across five innings.
EDGE Analysis
Suarez lasted only 2.2 innings and tossed 63 pitches in the season opener, but he improved his efficiency in this one with 78 pitches (49 strikes) while ending just three outs shy of what would've been his first quality start of the campaign. Suarez posted a blistering 1.36 ERA through 106 innings last season, and while he has recorded a 5.87 ERA over his first two appearances in 2022, this was clearly a step in the right direction. His next scheduled start is tabbed for April 22 against the Brewers at home.

Suarez didn't factor into the decision in Monday's 5-4 win over the Mets, giving up three runs on five hits and a walk over 2.2 innings. He struck out one.
EDGE Analysis
All three runs scored in the first inning, and while Suarez settled down after that, he still got lifted after 63 pitches (40 strikes). A Phillies' rally in the bottom of the eighth took him off the hook for a loss. Suarez will look to rebound in his next start, scheduled for Saturday in Miami.

Suarez expects to be ready for the start of the season despite visa issues delaying his arrival at camp, Scott Lauber of The Philadelphia Inquirer reports.
EDGE Analysis
Suarez didn't arrive until Thursday, raising speculation that he wouldn't have time to fully build up before the start of the regular season. He was able to throw bullpen sessions before leaving Venezuela, however, and he believes he won't be delayed. It's possible the team has different ideas about his readiness, but any potential delay shouldn't last particularly long.

Suarez's visa issues have been resolved, and he arrived at camp Thursday, Todd Zolecki of MLB.com reports.
EDGE Analysis
Suarez will be behind schedule after missing the first few days of camp, but exactly where he stands in his throwing progression remains to be seen. It's possible he's on a pitch count for his first start or two, but it seems likely that he'll be at full strength not long after Opening Day. That's good news for the Phillies, who may be without Zack Wheeler (shoulder) for at least a turn or two.

The Phillies hope Suarez (visa issues) will be in camp during the week of March 14, but he will be behind schedule when he arrives, Matt Gelb of The Athletic reports.
EDGE Analysis
President of baseball operations Dave Dombrowski said Sunday that the team hopes Suarez will arrive this upcoming week, but that still seems up in the air. It seems unlikely that Suarez will be ready to operate like a traditional starter the first time through the rotation.
