Suarez (7-0) allowed three hits and two walks over seven shutout frames Friday, striking out nine while earning a win over the Marlins.
EDGE Analysis
Another day, another terrific outing for Suarez. He took advantage of a nice matchup in Miami by turning in his fourth scoreless start of the year. He punched out a season-high nine batters and let only two Marlins reach scoring position. Suarez has tossed seven consecutive quality starts, earning a win in each. He lowered his ERA to 1.50 with a 55:8 K:BB through 54 frames. Suarez is currently in line for a home matchup with the Mets next week.

Suarez (6-0) collected the win Saturday versus the Giants, permitting three runs on seven hits and a walk over six innings. He struck out six.
EDGE Analysis
There was a rain delay before the game and more inclement weather during the contest, but Suarez seemed undaunted as he became the first six-game winner in baseball (Tyler Glasnow joined him later Saturday). It speaks as to how well Suarez has pitched this season that this was easily his worst start since his first outing of the season when he allowed three runs in five innings. The three runs the left-hander gave up Saturday matched his total from his previous five starts. With a matchup versus the Marlins looming next week, Suarez has a good chance to keep rolling.

Suarez (5-0) earned the victory over San Diego on Saturday, allowing one run on three hits and no walks while striking out eight batters over eight innings.
EDGE Analysis
Suarez's scoreless inning streak came to an end at 32.2 frames when Eguy Rosario touched him up for a solo homer in the eighth inning, but that did little to take away from another dominant effort. The left-hander posted his fifth straight quality start, and he's struck out exactly eight batters in three of those outings. Suarez has been among the league's best pitchers in the early part of the season -- he's tied for the MLB lead with five wins, leads all qualified pitchers with a minuscule 0.63 WHIP and ranks fourth with a 1.32 ERA.

Suarez (4-0) earned the victory Monday, allowing two hits and one walk over seven scoreless innings against the Reds. He struck out five.
EDGE Analysis
Suarez rang up nothing but zeroes for the third-consecutive start, allowing only two singles and a walk in a dominating performance against the Reds. The Phillies' southpaw earned his league-leading fourth win while extending his scoreless inning streak to 25.1 innings. The outing dropped his ERA to 1.36 with a 0.70 WHIP through 33 innings with 32 strikeouts against just five bases on balls. Next up for Suarez is a road matchup, tentatively scheduled to take place this weekend in San Diego against the Padres.

Suarez (3-0) earned the win Tuesday over Colorado, allowing seven hits and a walk over nine scoreless innings. He struck out eight.
EDGE Analysis
Suarez was stellar Tuesday, holding the Rockies without an extra-base hit en route to a complete-game shutout, his first since 2021. After taking a no-decision against Atlanta to start the year, Suarez has won his subsequent three starts, and he hasn't allowed a run in consecutive outings while logging 16 strikeouts over 15 innings in that span. Overall, the left-hander sports a 1.73 ERA with a 0.77 WHIP and 27:4 K:BB through 26 innings this season. Suarez will look to keep rolling in his next start, tentatively lined up for early next week in Cincinnati.

Suarez (2-0) earned the win over Pittsburgh on Thursday, tossing six scoreless innings during which he allowed two hits and two walks while striking out eight batters.
EDGE Analysis
Suarez didn't allow any extra-base hits in the dominant outing, and the Pirates didn't get any runners to third base against him. The southpaw racked up a season-high eight punchouts and recorded his second straight quality start. Suarez has been great through three appearances this season, posting a 2.65 ERA, 0.71 WHIP and 19 strikeouts over 17 innings. It's a small sample size, but it's promising that he's also cut his walk rate significantly compared to last season, as he's walked just three batters over those 17 frames thus far.

Suarez (1-0) allowed two runs on two hits over six innings in a win against the Nationals on Saturday, striking out four.
EDGE Analysis
Suarez was solid for most of the contest, with the exception of the bottom of the third when he left a sinker over the heart of the plate for Joey Gallo to crush over the wall in right field. The lefty didn't allow another hit from that point on, though he was relieved by Jeff Hoffman in the bottom of the seventh after beaning a hitter to open the frame. Suarez has now gone at least five innings in each of his first two starts to open the season, registering an 11:1 K:BB over that brief stretch.

Suarez did not factor into the decision Sunday against Atlanta, allowing three runs on three hits and one walk over five innings. He struck out seven.
EDGE Analysis
Suarez faced a daunting task in opening his season against an Atlanta lineup that was best in the league last year against left-handed pitching (131 wRC+). He held his own and punched out seven Atlanta batters despite allowing a two-run homer to Ozzie Albies in the first inning. Suarez faces a much more manageable lineup in his next start, scheduled to be against the Nationals on the road.

The Phillies and Suarez avoided arbitration by agreeing to a one-year, $5.05 million contract Thursday, Scott Lauber of The Philadelphia Inquirer reports.
EDGE Analysis
Suarez gets a raise in what was his second year of arbitration eligibility. The left-hander posted a 4.18 ERA and 119:48 K:BB across 125 innings covering 22 starts for Philadelphia in 2023. He'll be relied upon heavily by Philly again in 2024

Suarez allowed three runs on six hits across 4.2 innings to take the loss in Tuesday's 4-2 defeat to the Diamondbacks in Game 7 of the NLCS. He struck out six.
EDGE Analysis
Suarez's luck finally ran out as he allowed three runs in a postseason outing for the first time in nine career playoff games. The majority of the damage came in the fifth inning when Corbin Carroll knocked in an RBI single. Jeff Hoffman then replaced Suarez and allowed Carroll to score, which left Suarez with an additional run and stuck him in line for the loss. Suarez's postseason concludes with a sterling 1.93 ERA and 0.80 WHIP with 19 strikeouts across 18.2 innings.
