Paul Goldschmidt singled and belted a solo homer in Thursday's loss to the Phillies.
The rookie's blast was the only run the D'Backs could muster during the rain-delayed marathon. Though Goldschmidt has struck out 21 times in just 15 games since his call-up, he's also gone deep four times while driving in 10 runs and batting .298. He's worth of playing in deeper mixed formats.

Paul Goldschmidt hit the third home run of his young major league career in Arizona's loss to the Phillies on Wednesday.
He took Cliff Lee deep for a two-run bomb in the second. Goldschmidt has struck out a ton since getting the call on August 1 (20 times in 44 at-bats), but has also roped five extra-base hits and driven in nine runs. He should be an asset for both the Diamondbacks and NL-only league players down the stretch.

Paul Goldschmidt went 3-for-4 with two doubles and an RBI in Sunday's win over the Mets.
Since getting promoted on August 1, Goldschmidt is hitting .268 with two homers and seven RBI in 12 games. With 30-homer upside and hitter-friendly Chase Field as his home ballpark, Goldschmidt is worth using in most formats. He's also a candidate to throw in a fistful of steals.

Paul Goldschmidt hit his first big-league homer off the Giants' Tim Lincecum on Tuesday night.
That will be one to remember. The homer came in Goldschmidt's second game since he was promoted from Double-A. It was just the ninth Lincecum has surrendered in his 23 starts this season.

Diamondbacks purchased the contract of 1B Paul Goldschmidt from Double-A Mobile.
As expected. Goldschmidt is expected to see most of the playing time at first base now that Brandon Allen was traded to the Athletics. The 23-year-old was batting .306/.435/.626 with 30 homers, 94 RBI and a 1.061 OPS over 457 plate appearances with Double-A Mobile this season. He has big-time power potential and should immediately be scooped up in NL-only leagues.

Double-A Mobile's Paul Goldschmidt smacked his 26th homer on Wednesday.
Back in June, Diamondbacks GM Kevin Towers suggested that Goldschmidt was a candidate for a call-up around this time. Carrying a .311/432/.629 batting line, the 23-year-old is certainly someone to keep in mind, especially with Arizona's disappointing production from first basemen this season.
