Goldschmidt is expected to see most of the playing time at first base now that Brandon Allen was traded to the Athletics. The 23-year-old was batting .306/.435/.626 with 30 homers, 94 RBI and a 1.061 OPS over 457 plate appearances with Double-A Mobile this season. He has big-time power potential and should immediately be scooped up in NL-only leagues.

Double-A Mobile's Paul Goldschmidt smacked his 26th homer on Wednesday. Back in June, Diamondbacks GM Kevin Towers suggested that Goldschmidt was a candidate for a call-up around this time. Carrying a .311/432/.629 batting line, the 23-year-old is certainly someone to keep in mind, especially with Arizona's disappointing production from first basemen this season.
