Mike Trout went 2-for-4 and homered Friday in his return to the Angels lineup.
He also had an outfield assist. Trout didn't play Wednesday because of hamstring soreness. The homer tonight was his ninth of the year.

Mike Trout is back in the Angels' lineup Friday.
Trout has been nursing some minor left hamstring soreness for a couple weeks and sat out Wednesday's game with the ailment. The studly outfielder is obviously feeling good enough to give it a go Friday and is playing center field rather than being used in the DH spot.

Mike Trout said Wednesday that his hamstring has been bothering him for about two weeks now.
It hasn't been a major problem for him, but the Angels decided it made sense to sit him now and then give him Thursday's off day to rest up. He expects to play Friday.

Mike Trout is out of Wednesday's lineup because of soreness in his hamstring.
Trout was used as a DH before coming out early last night. He said he expected to be ready to go tonight, but it looks like the Angels are being cautious. At least they do have Kole Calhoun back in the outfield tonight.

Mike Trout (hamstring) expects to be back in the lineup on Wednesday.
Trout exited Tuesday's contest as a precaution due to some minor soreness in his left hamstring, but he insists that it's no big deal and he would have remained in had it been a close game. "It's just a little soreness, it's no big deal," said Trout. "I don't feel it when I run. I just feel it a little after I run. I just know it's there." It's possible Angels manager Mike Scioscia will buy Trout's legs some extra rest with another start in the DH spot.

Mike Trout went 2-for-3 with three RBI as the Angels beat the Astros on Tuesday.
With an 8-1 lead in the fifth inning, Los Angeles pulled Trout for pinch-runner Grant Green after the star center fielder beat out an infield single. Trout ran full speed and the team didn't announce an injury, so we assume manager Mike Scioscia wanted to give Trout the night off early. Trout was acting as the DH to give his legs a game off from outfield duties anyway. He's batting .270/.361/.511 with 31 RBI.

Mike Trout hit a walk-off three-run homer in the ninth inning to send the Angels to a 6-5 victory over the Rays on Thursday.
The Angels' offense scuffled for most of the night, but woke suddenly in the last frame facing a 5-2 deficit. Three straight reached off Tampa Bay closer Grant Balfour, prompting Joe Maddon to summon Brad Boxberger. Trout deposited Boxberger's third offering over the left field wall to complete the frenzied rally. Trout finished 1-for-4. He's slashing .269/.357/.531 with eight homers and 27 RBI.

Mike Trout went 1-for-3 with a walk and a double as the Angels beat the Indians on Wednesday.
Trout avoided back-to-back hitless games with a two-run double in the sixth inning, padding the Angels' already-large lead over the Indians. No surprise, Trout is batting .321 and appears well on his way to being a top consideration for AL MVP again.

Mike Trout smashed his sixth home run of the 2014 season in a losing effort against the Yankees on Saturday.
He finished the afternoon 2-for-3 and swiped his third base of the season. As expected, he's off to a terrific start at the plate, hitting .313/.383/.594 with six homers and 15 RBI in his first 23 games. Fantasy owners who selected Trout at the top of drafts have to be pleased with the early returns.

Mike Trout went 2-for-4 with a double, an RBI, and a run scored in Wednesday's loss to the Nationals.
Trout notched his eighth multi-hit game in his last 12 games. The 22-year-old phenom has wasted no time taking his place at or near the top of many leaderboards. He is slashing .315/.378/.584 after Wednesday's action.
