The studly outfielder is obviously feeling good enough to give it a go Friday and is playing center field rather than being used in the DH spot.

The Angels' offense scuffled for most of the night, but woke suddenly in the last frame facing a 5-2 deficit. Three straight reached off Tampa Bay closer Grant Balfour, prompting Joe Maddon to summon Brad Boxberger. Trout deposited Boxberger's third offering over the left field wall to complete the frenzied rally. Trout finished 1-for-4. He's slashing .269/.357/.531 with eight homers and 27 RBI.
