Mike Trout smashed his second home run of the Cactus League season as the Angels played the Rockies to a 4-4 draw on Saturday.
Trout's solo homer off Juan Nicasio in the fifth inning was his only hit in three at-bats on the afternoon. He's now slashing .433/.469/.800 with a pair of homers and 11 RBI this spring, and looks like the surefire number one selection in most fantasy drafts.

Mike Trout said Thursday that he will not set a deadline for extension talks with the Angels.
The two sides are reportedly discussing a six-year deal in the $150 million range, and Trout said he's willing to keep talking into the regular season if that's what it takes to get something done. "It doesn't matter to me," said Trout. "Nothing bothers me. I go out there and play, man. I don't worry about any of that stuff." Trout is batting .444/.464/.741 with one homer and nine RBI this spring.

Mike Trout went 1-for-3 with an RBI double as the Angels were defeated by the Mariners 10-6 on Tuesday.
Trout's double came in the second inning, part of a three-run frame for the Halos. He is now hitting .400 in the Cactus League thus far. It's safe to say he'll be in the running for all kinds of hardware at the end of the season and will be selected first overall in most fantasy leagues.

CBS Sports' Jon Heyman reports that Mike Trout and the Angels are continuing to discuss a six-year extension and the sides are "maintaining a clear sense of optimism that something will eventually get done."
Yahoo! Sports' Jeff Passan first reported last month that the two sides were discussing a six-year deal in the $150 million range, and Heyman says those are still the parameters. A six-year deal would buy out Trout's first three years of free agency but still allow the outfielder to hit free agency again at the age of 29.

Mike Trout went 2-for-3 with a run scored on Tuesday against the Rangers.
Trout is now hitting a cool .500 in the early going. Nothing too shocking from the two-time AL MVP runner-up.

Mike Trout began the Cactus League season with a bang in Friday's 15-3 rout of the Cubs, blasting a grand slam home run and plating five runs.
Trout singled home a run in the second inning, then deposited a James McDonald offering over the wall to clear the bases to highlight a nine-run uprising in the fourth. As great of a hitter as Miguel Cabrera is, Trout should be the first name called in fantasy drafts this spring.

A source tells USA Today's Bob Nightengale that the Angels and outfielder Mike Trout are negotiating a six-year contract extension worth around $140 million.
The prospective deal would keep Trout with the Angels through the 2020 season. Talks of a long-term extension have been reported in recent days, and with Trout's new $1 million salary for 2014 out of the way the two sides can focus on hammering something out. Previous reports from Yahoo! Sports' Jeff Passan had the deal in the seven-year, $150-160 million range, but either way, it seems like only a matter of time before the two sides agree on a deal that will pay the 22-year-old a whole lot of money.

FOX Sports' Ken Rosenthal reports that the Angels' "desire" is to sign Mike Trout to a seven-year extension in the $150-160 million range.
Yahoo! Sports' Jeff Passan has reported that the two sides are discussing a six-year deal in the $150 million range, while Mike DiGiovanna of the Los Angeles Times says the club wants the extension to be for at least eight years. It appears they might meet in the middle. A seven-year deal would allow Trout to hit free agency at 29 years of age.
