Mike Trout (back) will undergo some tests Wednesday.
Angels manager Mike Scioscia wouldn't reveal what those tests will be exactly, but the club is trying to get a handle on a back injury that's bother Trout for several days. "Were going to take half a step back," Scioscia said. More will obviously be known about how long Trout might be sidelined after the tests are performed. Fantasy owners are holding their breath.

Mike Trout left Tuesday's game versus the Astros with mid-back discomfort.
It's the same injury that kept him out of action for two games over the weekend. Trout underwent stem cell therapy on his back during the off day Monday and returned to action Tuesday but lasted just 1 1/2 frames before being pulled. More should be known about his status after the game, but it's possible the game's best player is headed to the disabled list.

Mike Trout left Tuesday's game against the Astros with an apparent injury.
Trout was returning to action after missing the last two games with a back injury, but he lasted just 1 1/2 innings before departing. Naturally, the assumption is that his back is giving him trouble again, but more will be known soon when the Angels provide an update.

Mike Trout underwent stem cell therapy on his back during the Angels' off day Monday.
It evidently did the trick, because Trout is back in the lineup Tuesday. "I was worried about it for a little bit," Trout said. "But I felt good in early BP. I'm in there. That's always good." The 22-year-old is batting .294/.380/.549 with 11 home runs and five stolen bases.

Mike Trout (back) is expected to return to the Angels starting lineup on Tuesday.
Trout said that he was ready to play late during Sunday's game, but the team held him out as a precautionary measure. The injury forced him to miss Saturday and Sunday's contests, but isn't expected to be a major issue moving forward.

Mike Trout (back) remained out of the Angels' lineup Sunday.
Trout has now missed two straight contests with upper back stiffness. He reported improvement late Saturday, so there would seem to be a good chance he'll be back in action on Tuesday after the off day Monday.

Mike Trout said he'd be ready to go on Sunday after sitting out Saturday's game with back stiffness.
According to MLB.com's Alden Gonzalez, the back is "night and day" better than it was in the afternoon before the game. That doesn't jibe with our sense of time, but we'll go with it.

Mike Trout was scratched from the Angels' starting lineup on Saturday with upper back stiffness.
Trout has also been nursing some hamstring tightness. He's come alive over the past week after a sluggish start to May and will try to return to action on Sunday.

Anaheim CF Mike Trout collected three singles, two RBI and a walk in Thursday's win against the Mariners.
Trout was perfect on the day. It's a welcome sight for his owners, who have nervously watched their main man work his way through a hamstring issue in the last few weeks. While you might think that Trout is some sort of robot sent from the future to destroy baseballs and is thus impervious to failure, he's actually hit a rather human .230/.338/.448 in the month of May. Even Godzilla has a down month from time to time.
