Trout hit a solo home run in the first inning of Sunday's game against the Astros.
EDGE Analysis
With Sunday's home run, Trout has now hit three homers since the beginning of August, seemingly losing his power stroke when fantasy owners need him the most and he's only driven in 77 runs this year, a career-low if the season ended today. Still, considering Trout's impressive track record to begin his career, it may only be a matter of time before the 24-year-old heats up once more.

Trout went 1-for-2, hitting his 34th home run of the season and knocking in two runs during Sunday's win over the Rangers.
EDGE Analysis
A solo home run in the first inning snapped Trout's 27-game homerless streak, and a sacrifice fly in the second inning upped his RBI total to 76 on the season. Even in the midst of the aforementioned homerless drought, Trout is still on track to record a career high in slugging percentage (.575 prior to Sunday's game) and he needs just two more home runs to tie his career high (36) which he set in 2014.

Trout went 4-for-4 with a double, a triple and an RBI Sunday against Cleveland.
EDGE Analysis
On a day when the Angels couldn't get consistent offense going, Trout's four hits only helped the team score a single run. He's been awful this month, but his four hits moved his August batting average from .194 to .226. Certainly, September will be better for the superstar.

Los Angeles Angels outfielder Mike Trout will return to the lineup Thursday against the Houston Astros after missing the last two games with a wrist injury, according to MLB.com. A collision with shortstop Erick Aybar on Sunday against the Texas Rangers resulted in a strain, but Trout was not expected to miss extended time, as he was able to pinch-run and remain in the game as a defensive replacement Wednesday. "He's moving in the right direction, but we're definitely going to err on the side of caution," Angels manager Mike Scioscia said. "It's the type of injury where you'd rather give it a couple more days on this end and not risk a couple of weeks on the back end. When he's ready, he'll be out there." Trout has tallied a .315/.405/.632 batting line with 31 home runs, 10 stolen bases and 64 RBI in 97 games this season.

An MRI exam Tuesday showed only a minor strain and no structural damage to the left wrist of Los Angeles Angels outfielder Mike Trout, who was injured diving for a ball Sunday, according to the Orange County Register. Trout was held out of Tuesday's game against the Houston Astros as the team awaited results of the MRI, but the team said he could play Wednesday. Trout stayed in the game after suffering the injury and later hit a grand slam, but the joint tightened Monday. General manager Bill Stoneman said Trout has "a little strain, day to day. Hopefully he won't miss a lot of time." Manager Mike Scioscia said Trout felt better Tuesday. "It looks like he's moving in the right direction," Scioscia said. Trout is batting .315 with a league-high 31 home runs, 19 double and 10 stolen bases over 359 at-bats.

Los Angeles Angels outfielder Mike Trout will undergo an MRI on his sore left wrist Tuesday, according to MLB.com. Trout is not in the lineup Tuesday against the Houston Astros after suffering the injury during Sunday's game against the Texas Rangers. He was able to finish Sunday's game and even hit a home run following the injury, and the team is optimistic that he will not require placement on the 15-day disabled list. "Don't anticipate anything but we'll wait for the results," Angels manager Mike Scioscia said before Tuesday's game. "It looks like it's moving in the right direction. He finished the game fine." Trout is in the midst of another exceptional year, as he has 31 home runs and a career-high 1.038 OPS through 97 games and is firmly in the running for his second consecutive Most Valuable Player Award.

Los Angeles Angels outfielder Mike Trout is not in the lineup Tuesday against the Houston Astros after injuring his wrist Sunday against the Texas Rangers, according to the team's official website. Trout appeared to roll his wrist while attempting to make a diving catch in the fourth inning, but he was able to stay in the game and finish 4-for-4 with two home runs, including a grand slam. The big day, combined with an off day Monday, led to talk that Trout would be in the lineup Tuesday, as he said he felt better after suffering the injury. “It’s just a scary thing for me,” he told the Los Angeles Times. “I didn’t know what to expect. It hurt pretty bad. It scared me more than anything. But once I got up there and moved it around, it was just a little sore and I was able to stay in the game.” Daniel Robertson will get the start in center field in Trout's absence.

Trout went 3-for-4 with a pair of homers and four RBI in Friday's win over the Mariners.
Trout showed why he led all outfielders in All-Star votes with another marvelous game just three days before the break. The 23-year-old now has five home runs in his last four games, and his 26 long balls on the season are tied with teammate Albert Pujols for second in all of baseball. Even though he's not participating in the Home Run Derby this year, Trout is on pace to shatter last season's career-high of 36 home runs, and should once again be in the AL MVP discussion with a 1.019 OPS.
