Trout (illness) is not in the lineup for Friday's game against the Dodgers, Mike DiGiovanna of the Los Angeles Times reports.
EDGE Analysis
For the second day in a row, Trout will not be in center field for the Angels as he battles a stomach virus. Rafael Ortega will take over in center field with Trout sidelined Friday, and it's unclear if the MVP-caliber outfielder will be able to get back into game action before the Angels open their season Monday against the Cubs. Still, there's no indication that Trout's stomach virus will put his status for Opening Day in jeopardy.

Trout (illness) will not play in Thursday's game against the Dodgers, Joey Kaufman of the Orange County Register reports.
EDGE Analysis
The superstar center fielder is reportedly dealing with flu-like symptoms and will miss at least Thursday's matchup with the Dodgers. Fortunately, there is no indication at this point that Trout's bout with the flu will put his status for Opening Day in jeopardy. Craig Gentry will take over in center field Thursday and Trout figures to rejoin the lineup in the coming days.

Trout would 'definitely' like to try to steal more bases this season, Alden Gonzalez of MLB.com reports.
EDGE Analysis
If there has been one area of disappointment in Trout's otherwise fantastic fantasy profile, it has been the stolen base totals, which fell to a career-low 11 last year. Not that one needs any added motivation to draft Trout, but the fact that he will be consciously trying to get back to the form that saw him take 49 bags in 2012 could edge him in front of Bryce Harper as the first selection overall.

Trout will bat third for the Angels, Jeff Fletcher of the Orange County Register reports.
EDGE Analysis
Trout batted second 82 times and third 77 times in 2015, but Manager Mike Scioscia said that he doesn't see lineups with him hitting second, especially if Albert Pujols misses time with injuries. Yunel Escobar and Kole Calhoun could form a solid combination at the top for Anaheim, allowing Trout to see plenty of RBI opportunities throughout the season.

Trout had a perfect day at the plate Wednesday against Oakland, going 3-for-3 with his 41st homer, two walks and a stolen base.
EDGE Analysis
We all know how good Trout is with the bat, so this seems like an opportune moment to mentino how good he is with the glove -- over 152 games patrolling center for the Angels this year, he's made exactly zero errors. After an awful August, he delivered an OPS over 1.000 in September -- the fourth month out of six this year in which he achieved that mark.

Trout went 3-for-5 with a double, an RBI and a run scored in a win over Seattle on Friday.
EDGE Analysis
Trout had a bad August, but has rebounded nicely in September. Over his last 12 games, Trout is batting .356 with six homers and 12 RBI across 45 at-bats. The MVP seemed to be decided earlier in the month, but Trout is making one final push to challenge Josh Donaldson for the award.

Trout went 1-for-3 with a two-run homer in a win over the Astros on Tuesday.
EDGE Analysis
Trout's homer was the first in a back-to-back set against opposing starter Lance McCullers, helping the Angels jump out to a 3-0 lead. Trout became just the second player in Angels' history to reach the 40-home run plateau with the blast, and could be on his way to his second consecutive MVP award, as he has tallied a .293/.396/.584 slash line with 87 RBI in 149 games.

Trout went 1-for-4 with his 39th homer in a 5-2 victory over the Twins.
EDGE Analysis
Trout now has three round-trippers over his last 11 at-bats, and has at least one RBI in each of the first three games of the key four-game set against the Twins. The superstar center fielder's gopher ball added to the career-high figure in that category that he established in 2015, and his current .660 slugging percentage also represents a career-best.

Trout delivered a massive game Thursday in Minnesota, going 2-for-3 with a grand slam, a solo homer, three walks and three runs scored.
EDGE Analysis
With 38 long balls on the year now, Trout's set a new career high, and he bounced back impressively after getting struck out three times in Wednesday's loss to the Mariners. The star center fielder's counting stats haven't quite lived up to expectations, though -- he's fifth in the American League with 93 runs, but his 83 RBI are outside the league's top 10 and his speed contributions have continued shrinking. Of course, it's hard to complain about a guy who's going to hit 40 homers while contributing strong batting average and OBP.

Trout went 1-for-3 with a solo home run and a walk in a win over the Mariners on Tuesday.
EDGE Analysis
Trout seems to have awoken from his August slumber at just the right time for fantasy owners, as he now has three homers in just 43 at-bats this month. The 24-year-old will likely break his season-best home run mark for the second consecutive year, as he is on pace to get to 41 before the end of the season.
