Mike Leake didn't last long Monday, getting pounded for seven runs on 10 hits and a walk over just 4 1/3 innings in a loss to the Phillies. Leake served up a pair of homers, as well as three doubles. This comes on the heels of his complete game last week against the Mets, as his season-long inconsistency remains. The owner of a 4.59 ERA and 1.32 WHIP, he's not a recommended play this weekend against the Cardinals.

Mike Leake went the distance in Wednesday's 6-1 win over the Mets, scattering just four hits while striking out four and walking none. Leake's second complete-game effort of the season moved him to 5-7. Coming into this evening, he had been quality in just two of his past five starts. Now the owner of a 4.29 ERA, 1.28 WHIP and 95/31 K/BB ratio, Leake will get the Phillies in Philadelphia on Monday.

Mike Leake turned in a quality performance in a no-decision against the Cubs on Thursday, allowing three runs on six hits over his six innings of work. Leake fanned five and walked two on the evening. Anthony Rizzo got the Cubs on the board with an RBI infield single in the first inning, then Leake was able to shut them down until a two-run double from Starlin Castro in the sixth. He had been in a bit of a funk recently, getting hit hard in three of his last four starts, so it was encouraging to see him get back on track. He'll take a 3-7 record and 4.51 ERA into Wednesday's matchup against the Mets at home.

Mike Leake racked up seven strikeouts while allowing four runs on six hits and a walk in a no-decision against the Pirates on Saturday. The main downside to Leake's evening was his inability to keep the ball in the yard, as Michael McKenry and Josh Harrison each took him deep with solo shots. It was still a nice bounce-back outing from Leake, who was pounded by the light-hitting Padres in his last start. He'll take a 4-7 record and 4.51 ERA into his next outing against the Cubs in Chicago on Thursday.

Mike Leake turned in another strong outing on Saturday against the Cardinals, allowing just two runs on seven hits over his six frames. Leake fanned three while walking one. He has been outstanding since the middle of May, compiling a 3-1 record, 2.59 ERA and 1.12 WHIP over his last 11 starts. He looks like an ever- week start in most mixed fantasy leagues at this point, especially for his upcoming matchup against the Diamondbacks at home on Thursday.

Matt Leake barely missed a shutout on Friday, but he did get his first career complete game in the Reds' 5-1 win over the Giants. Pedro Sandoval homered in the ninth to ruin the shutout bid. Leake has now won three in a row, but those victories have come over the span of nearly a month and a half (he has six no-decisions in his last nine starts). Still, it's a nice change from early in the season. His ERA has dropped from 7.11 to 4.12 since May 11.

Mike Leake (illness) confirmed that he will start Thursday against the Indians. Leake was originally scheduled to start Wednesday, but the Reds pushed him back a day due to illness. The good news is that he's feeling much better. The 24-year-old right-hander has a solid 2.84 ERA and 27/7 K/BB ratio in 31 2/3 innings over his past five starts.

Mike Leake will have his start pushed back from Wednesday to Thursday due to illness. He and Mat Latos will simply flip-flop spots. Leake has pitched much better of late after a slow start.

Mike Leake turned in another miserable performance against the Nationals on Friday, allowing six runs on seven hits in just three innings of work. Leake struck out three and walked two in the short effort. This may be the nail in the coffin, as the Reds may decide they are better off looking for an alternative option for the rotation. Leake falls to 0-5 with the loss and his ERA now sits at 7.11. Should he somehow stick around to make his next start, he'll face the Mets in New York on Wednesday.

Mike Leake pitched fairly well against the Pirates on Saturday, allowing only three runs on four hits through his seven innings of work. He struck out four and walked four. All of the runs scored against Leake came courtesy of the long ball, which has been his main problem all season. Neil Walker took him deep for a two-run blast in the third and Alex Presley added a solo shot in the seventh, which went on to stand as the winning run. With the quality start, Leake lowers his ERA to 5.97 on the season but falls to 0-4. He'll look to get in the win column for the first time when he takes on the Nationals next time out.
