It's outings like these that show why he wasn't part of the roster in the first place. Cincy would surely like to avoid giving him the ball again during a potential NLCS berth, but they might not have a choice with Cueto ineligible to return before the World Series.

The Cardinals were able to scratch out single runs in the fifth and seventh innings, but Leake did a nice job limiting the damage otherwise. He'll take a 6-8 record, 4.51 ERA and 102/32 K/BB ratio into Friday's matchup with the Astros in Houston.
