Leake (4-2) allowed two runs on five hits and three walks over six innings while striking out five in Friday's 3-2 loss to the Cubs.
EDGE Analysis
He really only made two mistakes Friday night, but Willson Contreras put both of them in the seats for solo homers. Leake has now thrown a quality start in all seven of his trips to the mound this season, but his 1.94 ERA and 0.99 WHIP (as compared to a 3.31 FIP and 3.59 xFIP) indicate he's pitching above his head at the moment. The 29-year-old's next start will come Friday at home against the struggling Giants.

Leake (4-1) allowed three runs on three hits and two walks while striking out two batters over seven innings during Saturday's win over Atlanta.
EDGE Analysis
Saturday's three runs allowed were a season high for Leake, as he had surrendered two runs or fewer in each of his previous five starts. Already with four wins and sporting a 1.79 ERA and 0.94 WHIP, the veteran has been an excellent contributor to start the season. Unfortunately, his 27 punchouts hardly move the fantasy needle, and with a 6.1 K/9 and 16.2 strikeout percentage during his career, missing bats isn't a strength. Leake will look to continue stymieing opponents in a tough matchup against the Cubs next week.

Leake allowed a single run on eight hits and a walk while striking out five batters over six innings during Sunday's loss to Cincinnati.
EDGE Analysis
It's been an impressive start to the season for Leake. The veteran has allowed one run or fewer in four of his five starts for a 1.35 ERA, 0.99 WHIP and 1.95 FIP, and he only allowed two runs in the other outing. Piling up punchouts has always been Leake's shortcoming, and his current 6.8 K/9 and 19.2 strikeout percentage reaffirm it. He'll look to keep rolling in a road start against the Braves next week.

Leake has been confirmed as Sunday's starter against the Reds, MLB.com's Jenifer Langosch reports.
EDGE Analysis
Leake's scheduled start Saturday was rained out, so he will get the ball Sunday against Bronson Arroyo with an extra day of rest. This is a fantastic matchup, as he should be able to post quality numbers with an excellent shot at getting the win, given Arroyo's struggles and the Reds' inept offense.

Leake's start Saturday has been postponed due to bad weather, the Cincinnati Enquirer's C. Trent Rosecrans reports.
EDGE Analysis
There has been no announcement on a makeup date, but Leake will presumably be pushed back to start Sunday against the Reds on an extra day of rest.

Leake (3-1) gave up two earned runs on three hits and three walks over six innings in Sunday's 6-4 win over the Brewers. He struck out six.
EDGE Analysis
The veteran righty continued what has been an excellent start to the season, with some uncharacteristically spotty control the only real blemish on his outing. Leake notched 11 swinging strikes but issued his first free pass since his opening start of the season on April 7. The 29-year-old owns a sparkling 1.32 ERA and 0.88 WHIP, numbers he'll try to preserve or improve on in a Friday home start against the Reds.

Leake (2-1) gave up only one run on seven hits over 6.1 innings while striking out one in Tuesday's 2-1 win over the Pirates.
EDGE Analysis
The right-hander only threw 57 of 95 pitches for strikes, but he was able to stymie a Sterling Marte-less Pittsburgh offense by working the edges of the zone and not allowing much hard contact. He's now begun the year with three straight quality starts plus a 0.84 ERA and 14:1 K:BB through 21.1 innings, but the key number for Leake so far is his zero homers allowed. He's surrendered at least 20 home runs in six straight seasons, but if he's found a way to consistently keep the ball in the park he could be on his way to a surprisingly strong season. He'll have a tough challenge on that front in his next start, though, as he faces the Brewers in Miller Park on Sunday.

Leake (1-1) blanked the Nationals over seven innings Wednesday, striking out seven while allowing just four hits and no walks in a 6-1 win.
EDGE Analysis
The veteran righty has opened the season with two sparkling outings, as he took a hard-luck loss despite eight innings of one-run ball against the Reds in his first start. Of course, Leake has never been an exciting fantasy asset, so it isn't advisable to overreact to two starts. He's certainly a credible option in most formats, but expecting stardom from Leake is asking too much.

Leake (0-1) was a hard-luck loser Friday against the Reds, as he surrendered just one earned run on six hits and one walk over eight innings. He struck out six.
EDGE Analysis
Leake followed up a strong finish to spring with a stellar regular-season debut, but the Cardinals were unable to break through against Reds starter Amir Garrett and two relievers. The veteran right-hander threw 65 of 92 pitches for strikes and counted an RBI double by Joey Votto as his one mistake of the night. Despite the disappointing outcome, Leake certainly provided plenty of reason for optimism with his effort. He'll look to parlay another strong effort into a win when he takes on the Nationals in the Nation's Capital next Wednesday.

Leake struck out eight and gave up one run on six hits over seven innings in Friday's game against Double-A Springfield.
EDGE Analysis
Leake fired 89 pitches in capping off a productive spring, one in which he posted a 3.81 ERA, 1.12 WHIP and 14:6 K:BB over 26 innings. The veteran right-hander is scheduled to start his first regular-season game on April 7 versus the Reds.
